We are staying here right now and we love it. Nice quiet, small place with clean rooms. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very friendly. You are right next to the beach, you can use the pool from the neighbouring hotel.

Room was really cool, all wood panelled and an in built mosquito net which was great. After a week or so of staying in hostels it was very welcome to spend the night here. The owners were lovely and really accommodating. It was about a half an hour walk to the town centre/$6 cab but it was nice be right off the beach. Guests here can use all the facilities at Banana Azul next door for free which was an added bonus

I could write a long narrative about enjoying myself here, but since I just extended my stay for 2 nights, it would be incomplete. This is a great place! The room is cute, comfortable, and well maintained. The shower gets hot and the water pressure is just fine. The upstairs deck with the ocean and forest view is perfect. The hotel is literally across the small dirt road from a beautiful beach. 

Edwin is a great host, and Minerva the housekeeper is pleasant and professional. Having the bar and restaurant next door at Banana Azul is also very convenient.  They're only 3 rooms here so don't get left out.

We had a room which led to the dining area and kitchenette. You can see the sea from the front balcony and hear the animals either side .The place is very clean and the owner is super helpful and very friendly. I recommend this place for singles or couples who wish to walk onto the beach (feet away) to enjoy the beautiful far reaching coastline . The town is a walk away which is either by the beach or a rather rough road .The point is that this is a little piece of paradise and good roads always attract more people .So lets try and leave it as it is.

This is a place to stay if you enjoy silence and more isolated areas. During the night, all you can hear is the sound of the ocean, frogs and animals. The beach is at 100m from the hotel and the sunrise there is beautiful.

The place is situated outside of Puerto Viejo, but at a short drive. If you don't have a car, the owner will arrange a taxi for at any time. He is very friendly and helpful, always willing to help with anything you may need.

The place provides basic accommodation but nicely decorated: the room has a bed (mosquito net included), two night tables a wardrobe and a chair. One of the shortcomings is that the bathroom does not have a door (only a curtain) and the wooden building does not provide either a very good sound isolation. We had the two rooms at the first floor that were large and provided direct access to the common area and terrace (a wonderful place for a lazy afternoon in the hammock).

We had a very pleasant experience there. Please note that the place has its shortcomings (see above) but it provides an excellent experience for money.
