This is another one of those places that I wish i had more time at. The grounds are very well kept. The rooms were spacious and clean. Extremely peaceful! Breakfast was delicious with a view! The wifi is a little difficult to pick up in your room, but the lobby is very nice so you might as well spend some time up there. I really like this place and if im ever in RioNegro again, I will be sure to pay this place an extended visit next time!

Beautiful getaway!

For those that are looking for a nice country hideaway, this place is awesome. Based on my own experience, the bathroom was  small, the breakfast was repetitive, the staff was rude, they changed my room, charged me extra, never gave me a refund after about three months of back and forth with them I gave up. I will never stay there again. Not easy to find, and you better know someone that speaks Spanish, or you better know some yourself. I speak fluent Spanish, and was still duped by these crooks.

First trip to Rio Negro

This was a terrible experience from start to finish.  We arrived after midnight and got taken to our room.  A few minutes later I was at the front desk asking for a room change because the walls of the room are paper thin and we had a drunk couple next to us singing rancheros.  The girl at the front desk told me that they did not have anymore of the premium rooms I booked but did have one smaller room.  The room was indeed smaller with a very tiny bathroom but at least was quiet.  I informed the hotel the next morning that we would be leaving before the 5 nights I was scheduled to be there.  We ended up staying 3 of the 5 nights I was booked there only because it was very inconvenient for us to move before then, but when I checked out they refused to give me any credit for the 5 nights they put on my credit card upon my arrival or for the fact that the room was inferior to the one I booked.  To make things worse, there was no TV service or internet service in the room.  You had to walk to the lobby to get any signal.

Worst Hotel Experience

We stayed here a year ago and posted a nice review about the service. I am not sure if there has been a change in management but this second time around, service was terrible.
Hotel didn't have bottled water (not for sale, not for anything), they didn't have a cork screw for a wine bottle. They told us they would order a taxi at 6am for our 820am flight, that wasn't done either. I've been sitting in reception for 15 minutes and there is no one here!!! I am so frustrated!!!

Just dont

The staff of these hotel were on point, polite and friendly and we found the service staff the same.  Unfortunately that is this hotel/motel only quality I can comment positevely on.  We were put in a room downstairs under the dinning room.  A old, tattered carpet, room with little light and ventalation except for 2 small windows which in cold rainy weather is not practical to leave open.  The bathroom was full of mold.  The constant shifting of tables above us and people walking around was so unpleasant that we spent literally as much time as we could out of the room, which was for us more like a dungeon than a pleasant get away weekend.  We choose not to eat supper as we saw the food being served to the other guests and breakfast, although very basic, a fried egg was the safest thing on the menu (just dont ask for marmalade for toast as that is not stocked)  The lodge exterior is as it looks on the photos advertised, rooms however were a different story.  I would most certaintely not recommend this Lodge to any traveller, Rather seek an alternative.  We have to be honest and did say we purchased this night stay via Grupon, maybe this was why we got given the worst room in the house, but we cannot confirm this, other than to share our experience of this lodge to potential customers.
