Only one night, I don’t have to much to safe

This was a nice hotel for the price. No frills, but was nice. I liked the rustic feel of the place. The only issues I had with the place was that the wifi in my room was weak and there was no hot water, but the wifi was very strong in the lobby and common area and as hot as Cartegena is, you don't really need hot water. Also, the breakfast was simple, but nice. I would definitely stay here again the next time that I'm in Cartagena.

Hats off to whom ever staged the rooms and took photographs. They did an awesome job as believe me, they bare a faint resemblance to what they are actually like. We had contemplated only staying only one night but they had already but thru our credit card charges for the full stay. This was thru Booking dot com and we were surprised as we had not presented our credit card. I can see being charged one night upon registration, but all four?
Our room was crowded and offered little space to open suitcases. The bathroom had hair balls in the corners and flip flops were worn in the shower. We had to request a top sheet as the beds were made with only the fitted sheets. Also we booked a triple room and received one towel. We did not use the safe in the room as it was just sitting on top of the dresser and not bolted to anything. The wifi was very weak and we were seldom able to all three access internet at the same time. The saving grace for this place was that it was quiet and the staff fairly friendly. The rooftop deck was small but offered a nice evening breeze. After two martinis each we decided that this place was pretty good after all. There was a Juan Valdez two doors down which was great for morning coffee and free wifi.

Not Exactly as Illustrated

This is a cheap, no-frills hotel but it is comfortable and quiet and in a good area. The staff member on duty was very helpful and seemed never to go to sleep. The rooms (I stayed in two) were basic but adequate. Both had air conditioning and integral bathroom/ toilet but no exterior window.

For the price the rooms were great compared what you would normally get in this price range.  I was missing a shower head and only had a pipe sticking out which they kept promising to pick fixed bit never was.

Convenient but lacks good management

This place is not anything special, but it is a great area to stay in Cartagena if you want to just stroll around the neighborhood and have lots of food and nightlife options.  The room could have been a lot cleaner, but it was actually surprisingly quiet (or maybe we were just so sleepy from our trip we slept through it all.)  The bed was fairly comfy.

Decent for the price/location.

This is a rather cheap hotel -in relative terms, not absolute terms- given the price of hotels located within this perimeter around the historical center (between 5 to 10 minutes walking). However, for this price, don't expect much. The room where we stayed is pretty basic and rather small and it is not the kind of room that makes you want spend any unnecessary time in it, which may not be such an inconvenient in a city like Cartagena. The white neon light is a bit depressing. There is no hot water but it's not a big deal since the water isn't actually cold but rather tepid and the climate is generally hot or very hot in Cartagena. We only had one problem during our stay: the air conditioner in our room started to leak on the second day and wasn't fixed before we leave the hotel on day 4. The staff just placed a bucket below the air conditioner. There is no breakfast but only coffee available (with or without milk I guess). With regards to the staff, I would say that overall the employees are friendly and ready to help.
Although the hotel is a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the historical center, the street, in which it is located, is very "popular", meaning very loud with a lot of bars and a significant number of prostitutes over the the week-end, at night. You might find this kind of entertaining as a young tourist traveling with your friends but not so much so if you travel with your kids!
Conclusion: as a low-budget option, it can be a good choice for the location near the historical center but if your budget constraint is not so tight, spending more money on the hotel to get something more pleasant would be a better choice.

Good for people with not a lot of money and don't mind the bare basic in a room!

Nice little hotel , good standard for the price round that area.Comfortable bed , spacious compared to others we stayed at and good location

Worth the money

Service was bad. Not very friendly and when we arrived the bathroom wasnt clean, so i asked if it could be cleaned again while we were out but when we came back nothing changed and it was too late to clean it that day. Location is good but i would - if i'd went again - choose a hotel more in the middle of the road. At that end you find more than usual prostitutes and people who are selling drugs. Security was good, though. As far as I know there was always someone to open and close the gate at night. Our room had an okay size but it could have been bigger for two people. I didnt like how everyone on the hallway could hear whats happening in our bathroom because there werent any real windows.
