Stayed here on business for a couple nights.  I like a firm mattress, but this one was really firm (close to sleeping on a carpeted floor).  The room was clean and well-appointed, but dark and in need of updating. There was a shower in the room and no bathtub, which is what I prefer. Mold was apparent in some places in the shower.  The room smelled of smoke (a sign near the bed warned guests not to smoke in bed).  My room was quiet.

Options were abundant at breakfast, but mostly Asian and not typical Western menu items.  That 's not a complaint, but merely a warning.  

Little English was spoken at the front desk, but the personnel were friendly.

Worn Hotel with Good Breakfast

Average quality hotel. Tired decor. Little English spoken but ok. This is Guiyang after all. No complaints about wireless. Normal firm Chinese beds but clean linen. Not much soundproofing so slamming of doors and ringing of nearby doorbells will keep you awake. Always remember to ask for no smoking room. I forgot, so default room will have horrid odour of stale smoke that seems to grow with time. Bathrooms ok but a bit mouldy in places due to climate. Room a bit dark (4th floor) but aircon works fine once turned down from high where it is too noisy.

Hard beds

The check in was chaotic and the room was dark and smelly. The bed felt damp and the bathroom was old and looked dirty . Part of the carpet was also damp and the room looked on to a car park. NOT GOOD.
