If you want a luxury hotel that could be anywhere, you have plenty of choice elsewhere. This is a part of a Chinese chain, and it's just fine. The staff can struggle with English but a bit of patience should overcome the problem. The room was clean and I was lucky enough to have a great view over the rooftops and the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. 
It's on a main road with a flyover. Incredibly, it's a quite pleasant street with restaurants and a park just up the road. A Metro stop is about 200m away.

An authentic Chinese chain hotel in a central spot with clean rooms

Hanting Express is on the main road. The traffic noise was reduced to almost zero when window was closed. The room & bathroom was clean, new & spacious enough. Toiletries were provided. What I don’t like was the air conditioner faced the bathroom instead of the room. They provided cable for free internet. Bring your laptop. Could be connected from both table and bed side. If there’s no connection, ask them to come & type the IP in your laptop. I booked through ctrip at 265CNY/ night excluding breakfast. The booking website said hotel was opened in 2009. Dongshankou Subway Station is about 5 minutes on foot to the right of hotel. A supermarket was near there also. One lady Reception staff spoke a little English. They were smiling. Hotel had a website but all were in Chinese. There was a small local restaurant about a hundred meters on the left of the hotel.

New & clean

The hotel front desk staffs got wrong service attitude, short-fuse, arrogant and got very  impolite demeanor  and they should not be working for customer service. It destroy the good qualities of the hotel.  The room cleaner was kind and friendly.
