This hotel is now under new hotel management. Its under 7 days Inn Group.

Rooms: They totally renonvated the rooms. Its nice and clean.  

Staff: They are nice and efficient however they don't have anyone who can speak English. If you cant speak a word of Chinese. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Location: Not really well located. The metro, Sanyuanli station is about 10 minutes away by taxi or 20 minutes by bus. There is local market right beside of hotel and MacDonald is located in 5 minutes walking distance. 
If you like Korean Food, there is Korean Town on Yuanjing Road. About 15 minutes by walking. You can also find KFC, Pizza Hut, Coffee Shops on that 
VERY HARD TO GRAB A CAB DURING DAY TIME!!!!!

Overall, the quality of hotel is been improved when they switched to 7 Days Inn but they also increase the room rates but still affordable.  I will stay this place again once I am in the area.

7 Days Inn Guangzhou Sanyuanli Avenue Tangxi

Small hotel with good location and services. Unfortunately it was raining but we enjoyed our stayed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small but ok too. Our room was good for one night stay/transit in Guangzhou.

I might travel in November there for the Trade Expo but I do not want to spend to much. I think travelling as a backpacker gives one a better view of the country. I would like to know price per room? Breakfast and lunch prices? what's taxy price to Airport? Places to see around hotel, bar etc.

Room and meal prices?

I have been going there since this hotel used to be City Inn. It was really good budget hotel with free breakfast. Since they changed to Home Inn, the breakfast service was gone.

Rooms: In general the rooms are clean with free wired internet and LCD TV. They have different types of rooms. Rooms with window are more expansive. The bed is fairly comfortable. Recently, they changed the A/C and it could be changed to heater during winter time. 

Staff: They are nice and efficient however they don't have anyone who can speak English. If you cant speak a word of Chinese. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Budget Motel

The hotel is no frills, just a place to sleep. Nothing more. The air conditioner took a while to cool down the room. 
It is right next to a market so the outside sidewalk is dirty, crowded, and noisy. It is also far from the closet subway station, need to take a taxi there or 4 stops by buses. 
The front desk doesn't take credit card as payment and asked for 3 nights' cash deposit to cover my three nights' stay. I didn't have that much cash on the 1st night. The next day when I came back, I couldn't get in my room and needed to put down the cash deposit.
