This is a very nice hotel, I stay in 20th December , 2015, I stay in the viewing room, the room's large windows can directly watch the beauty of Erhai Lake. The hotel also has a cafe shop, a good light, on the edge of the Erhai Lake, where you can see the quiet Erhai Lake, and the distant mountains. Drinking coffee, sitting on the sofa watching the book near the window, is a wonderful experience. I feel very relax. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend my holidays in peace.
In 21st December, 2015. I rent a electronic automobile near the hotel, driving around the west side of Erhai lake. And we take many photos with beautiful views, making different poses, stay good memory here.
If I go Da'li next time, I will choose this hotel too, which makes me and my family members happy and enjoyable.

Very nice hotel

This is an exceptional boutique hotel.  It has a few too many rooms to be considered a guesthouse or a bed & breakfast.   Nevertheless, despite the 10+ or so rooms, this place feels warm, cozy, friendly and has fantastic service.  Every detail was administered with good will and outstanding quality.  The most critical value about the location is the view, tranquility and peace.  It is literly right on the water and not a moment passed by where we did not have a great perspective of the lake.  Granted, we had perfect weather in December.  I have travelled extensively all over China and this is in the top 5.   Chinese stays are typically known for being a slightly on the cold side, a bit distant and at times even unfriendly (not that they mean to be, but just in a passive ‘you didn’t ask, so I guess you didn’t need it’ sort of way.  Extensive travelers of China will understand what I am talking about.  This place wipes all of those preconceptions off the map.   

My wife and I spent a full day driving around the lake with a rented motorbike.  I HIGHLY recommend this adventure.  It takes all day and you have to stop to recharge your batteries but it is an absolute adventure. 

Also of note, we were here in DECEMBER of 2015, just last week.  The best time to come to Dali IS in the Winter.  Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.    Avoid the crowds and madness.  It isn’t that cold and the skies are crystal clear blue.   This was a breath of fresh air from life in Shanghai (literally…. as I inhale deeply from back in Shanghai).  Miss this place so much already.   

Tip:  There is a fine restaurant right down the street (southbound) that also rents the motor bikes.  The ladies at the hotel know the place.  Eat there, it is excellent local food.   

Stay here.  You will not be disappointed.

Perfect Place in Dali

My husband and I loved the ambience and 'warn n homely ' feel of this boutique hotel . It has 13 rooms and when we were there,  it was all occupied . Nonetheless, we still felt it has peaceful and quiet ambience that sets the tone with everyone else .  There was no rush ,  loud noises and everyone was patient and waited for their turn be it for breakfast,  questions to be answered or service request.  

The hotel staff, esp the boss,  we're extremely friendly and helpful.  Offering sincere and honest opinions an suggestions . 

It is definitely a 'will come back another time' plus starting for a few days longer.
