528 reviewsWe had a 9 hour transit in Beijing Airport between flights from Tokyo and onwards to Manchester. Rather than hang around in the terminal or book a lounge for the long lay over, we decided to book a hotel and use the free Chinese Transit Visa. It was remarkably easy to do at the airport on arrival and we entered China for our brief stay. The free Ramada Wyndham shuttle bus to the hotel operated approximately every hour and the information desk inside the airport terminal kindly called to check for the next shuttle time and where to wait. It was the perfect solution as it only took 10 minutes to get there and we were checked in immediately. The staff all spoke excellent English and made us very welcome. The room was comfortable and spacious with a great shower and also had tea and coffee making facilities, perfect for what we needed. We were not there long enough to experience the facilities, but I would certainly recommend this hotel for transit passengers. The free transfer shuttle returned us to the airport in the early hours for your flight home.
