Three days we were in September 2023 in this motel, which is also a large RV - resort. Directly in front of the front door, the highway passes, at this point you can drive 110 km / h, I had booked the room more than a year ago and asked for a room back to the road. Fortunately, this wish was granted and we were very satisfied with the quiet at night. You can hear the highway a little there too, but it doesn't bother much. The room was rustically furnished and made a very new impression. The room and also the bathroom were very clean, we had toaster, coffee maker, kettle and microwave. We were very satisfied with the stay, but you have to know that there is internet only at the office and not in the rooms. This did not bother us and we can highly recommend this resort. The next town is Hinton, about 17 km away, there is not only Wal-Mart and Safeway, but also many restaurants. Directly at the motel is also a brewery, but we were not there to eat.

Wonderful…

Located very close to the Park Border, this campsite is fabulous. Catering for everyone, cabins, tents, RVs.
The staff are beyond friendly, initially I made contact via email, on arrival they were able to accommodate a last minute request.
Highly recommended, if I'm back this way, I will be staying here again.

Magnetic Mountain Retreat. Highly recommended 

This was our third stay, as a three generation family, to spend time together a make memories.  We booked 3 cabins in close proximity to enjoy the scenery as we travelled around Jasper National Park and area during the day, and spent family time roasting weiners and marshmallows at one of the four fire pits during the evening.  The cabin area includes a large chess board and floor curling area, as well as barbecues for all to enjoy.  A king sized bed and pullout, as well as a kitchen/dining and bathroom graced each spacious cabin.  In the office, the staff were both friendly and helpful.  Both adults and children enjoyed the see saws in the playground, with many pictures taken and lots of laughter. The only down side is the highway noise at night for light sleepers.  We will definitely be back!  

A great place to stay

We had a great stay here as a family with family from out of town. The kitchenette burner worked perfect to make our breakfast in the room. The kids loved the mining area and we felt completely safe here with our kids and dog. Comfortable bed, friendly staff, wifi worked outside the room but didn’t work in the room at all. The staff kept our milk while we went to the park and picked it up at the end of the day on our way out which was great so we didn’t have to throw it out. Thanks for a great stay.

Excellent

We had a lodge room on the second floor. Access by stairs. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Decor looked very new. Price is reasonable. Scenic 40 minute drive from Jasper. Lodge is next to the highway but our room was on the opposite side and the noise didn't bother us at all.

Really well maintained Campground. Our Campground was right next to a man-made Creek which was really nice.  They have a little store at the Campground office that sells some limited items and firewood. Bathrooms clean and they have free showers. It is conveniently located right next to Folding Mountain Brewing which had a great little restaurant. 35 mins or so from the town of Jasper and about 15 mins from Hinton. You'll see wildlife o  the road to Jasper,  like elk,  deer,  bears and mountain goats. They have FULL SERVICE SITES whereas those are really hard to find in the gov campgrounds. They even have a little "day cottage" that families can use to play games etc.

Planning for a long weekend family trip for Sunday night, emailed reservations@jaspergates.ca to see if they could accommodate us. They continently let us book 3 rooms as it appears they have bookings on Saturday night. Was informed every other room was a 3 night minimum for the long weekend despite not being posted anywhere on their website and I went through the booking process online for 1 night with the exception of my credit card. When questioned what the difference was- online vs directly through them, I was informed that “you will still be charged for 3 nights if you book it online for 1 night”. I’m completely shocked that they would allow you to book 1 night but charge you for 3 without your knowledge or consent and thought others should be aware too.

Long Weekend Guest BEWARE

This is the perfect place to stay for 1 night or 7. Friendly on all levels, solo, couple or family. Kids will have a blast at the playground or panning for gems near the office where you check in. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and bring your poop bags lol! Cabin and RV rentals as well. Most RV sites are pull thru. All hookups, water,sewer and power. Showers and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. Very well maintained park. A short walk away is the Folding Mountain Brewery. A must do during your stay. Food is great and the beer is great! Beside it is a sweet little general store that holds so many local treasure, crafts and beautiful paintings. 
Close enough to Jasper to take in the sights, and there are local trails for hiking like the Folding Mountain trail. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

JGP does not disappoint

Located some 42 minutes drive from Jasper, Jasper Gates Resort is set amongst woodlands. 100 RV & Campsite stalls including 40 fully serviced pull-through sites. Well equipped showers and toilets compliment the site.

Don't forget to collect a leaflet setting out the well marked forest trails if you fancy some exercise.

This is a resort with cabins, motel rooms and RV parking, 40 minutes outside Jasper and 10 minutes from Hinton.  We were in Cabin 12.  Its well equipped, roomy and warm.  There's a huge TV, a DVD player (DVDs available to hire from the office), and friendly staff around. We had a good mobile phone signal, but no wifi in room.   Only problems were the incessant noise of trucks on Trans Canada 16 Highway just outside the cabin, curtains which didnt block the light, and the bathroom which isn't closed off (at the top) from the other room.
The drive from Jasper is wonderful, as exciting as the parkway, and overall this was a fun place to stay, but at almost C$250 a night it isn't cheap.
