Sometimes when choosing a hotel in the internet you can be disappointed with your choice when you arrive at your destination.  But NOT if you choose this hotel!
Mohai far exceeded my expectations!    FYI: they recently changed the name of the hotel to: Big K Angkor Residence

1. The staff was great!  Helpful, considerate and really concerned about the comfort of your accommodations.
2. The hotel is housed in an older building but it is in excellent repair and has an atmosphere and charm that you don't find in newly constructed facilities.
3. Conveniently located near markets, nightlife, restaurants and financial services.
4. A short commute by tuk tuk, van or taxi to the premier attractions in the area.  Mainly Angkor Wat and the the other temple sites.
5. There is a beautiful and well maintained pool area.

The room I had was very spacious and very clean.  A shower with on-demand hot water.  There is the expected flat screen TV, WiFi, daily bottled water and breakfast was included.  The housekeeping staff was also friendly and flexible based on my schedule.

I have lived in China for several years and traveled in east and southeast Asia quite a bit and stayed in a number of hotels.  This hotel is in my top 2 favorites of all time!  If I return to the area I will definitely stay here again and I can recommend it without reservation.

The price point was excellent.  A excellent value for an inexpensive, high quality establishment.

A great value in Siem Reap as a base to explore the area and Angkor Wat

This is an older hotel that is located near all the night markets and pub street. It has large rooms with plenty of storage space. We stayed here with a family of 11 and had a great time. The staff is amazing and very accomodating. They made us feel very comfortable.

Cozy hotel with excellent location for an excellent price

Good location, staff are helpful & friendly. Breakfast, WiFi & aircon are all good. They will arrange for a tuk tuk to pick you up at airport free of charge. No mirror in the bedroom or socket in the bathroom so difficult to dry your hair 

Great location

The staffs very helpful and friendly all the time.The location is inside city center and nearest to Asia super market,ATM.Walking 5minutes to pub street and night market. Happy to swim at pool when I came back from outside. I will stay again and recommend to other friends.

Amazing staff and location

Absolutely fantastic place for sushi! 
Great service, our waiter Kimlang was very helpful and patient with our order. We will definitely be back again.  The sushi is reasonably priced and plenty parking.

Anniversary Sushi Date

I just left today from a two week stay at this Boutique hotel and I enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms, hotel and pool area were very clean and comfortable and the staff to include the restaurant, maids and front desk are all brilliant! The WiFi is strong and fast in the room and there is a small fridge and kettle in the room with coffee and tea supplies. Also, don’t miss a chance to eat down in the restaurant because the food is fantastic! I can’t wait to stay here again. 

Excellent stay!!

First time in Cambodia ever. I would like to say thank you to all staff of The Villa Siem Reap for the wonderful service especially to Khong Pon Loeu! He was just amazing trying to let me discovering Siem Reap through suggestions and tips. Location is fantastic, close to the night market, old market, pub street, local restaurants, cafes and about 30 mins tuktuk ride away from the airport. 
I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Amazing service with a perfect location!

Stayed at this small hotel for eight nights while doing volunteering in outlying villages. The hotel is located in an excellent, convenient location, close to small local cafes and restaurants, ATM, supermarket, walking distance to Pub Street and nightlife.
The Manager, Mr Phally Sean, could not do enough to meet my needs. My booking was handled efficiently, and complimentary transfer to or from the airport was included. A welcome juice and wet face cloths were offered on arrival by smiling staff. Simple, but adequate breakfast was prepared early at my request. Phally also assisted me to sort out a banking problem with calm efficiency. He offered helpful advice, maps and brochures on walks and attractions for me to visit in my down time. Housekeeping staff were always happy, and the rooms were serviced to a spotless condition. Thank you Mr Phally and your team for a most enjoyable stay!

Could not better the service!

Stayed here back in September 2018, was looked after well by Phally Sean who really paid attention to customer need. Would always try to go the extra mile to book events and make sure the stay was comfortable; very honest and genuine. Would book the proper "Fishing Village" tour to go to the real fishing villages (which many tours claim but do not actually offer). Very hard working staff.

Sent someone to pick us up at the Airport and answered emails at the provided email address in the same day (sometimes multiple emails). Was really helpful for a last minute booking.  Probably should have spent more time in Angkor to see the outside temples but may return one day.

Excellent Customer Service

Spent 2 nights here but wish it was longer! Such amazing service. The staff work so hard to ensure you have the most perfect stay. They explained thoroughly where to go and what to see in Siem Reap. We booked Angkor Wat sunrise through the hotel as well as the evening circus. Both ran perfectly and was one less thing to worry about knowing we were in good hands. The staff are always so happy and pleased to see you, which makes such a lovely atmosphere. 

We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that but breakfast is available to those who want it. It is in a perfect location- many, many restaurants within a few minutes walk. Only a few minutes walk to the night market and pub street. 

Pool was great and a good size too with comfy sun loungers. 

I really can’t fault the hotel for the price we paid! Would 110% go back.
