Great place

Staff was lovely! The place is clean and there is a pool. The bus stop to go to the aquaparks is a few minutes away on foot.

Location is alright (close to the centre). However, it takes 30 minutes walking to get to the restaurants and bars on the marina.

Good value for money

NOTE FOR TRIPADVISOR STAFF: this hotel is situated in Sveti Vlas, not Nessebar!!! Do not mislead people!!! Check it twice!!!

My BF and I stayed for 2 weeks at the hotel a year ago, but still have very warm memories of the place. It is, indeed, a small family-run place with very friendly staff, especially the owner lady who usually takes care of all the guests. 
We did not eat at the hotel, and I'm not too sure if they serve meals at all, as the "dinig area" was very small, though they do have a bar where you can have a beer - but it is also ok to buy it cheaper in the nearby supermarket and bring it to the pool. It is also possible to make your own barbecue by the pool, which is a nice option.
The swimming pool is not very big, but quite clean, with sun lounges around. Even though we stayed during high season - middle of August - there were always enough of them, and you didn't need to rush downstairs to occupy a lounge for the day in the morning. 
As to the room, it was pretty basic, but, living on the top (4) floor, we had a balcony with an AMAZING sea view of the coast, Sunny Beach and Nessebar. In the room we had a fridgea and a TV - but we never figured out how to make the TV work. Still, we were not interested in watching it a lot, so we did not bother to ask the owners to fix this. The a/c was definitely an enormous plus, since the temperature was around 40C during the day. The bathroom shower had no curtain, but this can be a problem only for the fussiest tourists. 
There is also free WiFi connection at the ground floor and near the pool - very nice!!!
All in all - Dirossi is a great place to stay - very decent 2 star hotel for a budget holiday in Bulgaria. Thanx again to the staff!

WARNING: There is no elevator in the hotel, so, if climbing the stairs is a problem for you, make sure the owners reserve you a room on the ground floor. Walking to and from the beach can also be tiring for older people, since the road back goes all the way up the hill (under the sun, of course), and could be a big minus for someone with heart problems. 

The town of Sveti Vlas itself is definitely not a party place. If you are a group of friends looking for fun - opt for Sunny Beach, it will suit your needs perfectly! We did not  find ANY real night clubs in Vlas, though one night we visited a place, full of young locals singing karaoke - but no night clubs in the traditional sense of the word :))) But Vlas is a prefect place for families with children (great sandy beaches!!!) and young couples who want to relax and do not need other people's company.
It is also very easy to get around - there are many buses (which are also very cheap) that take you either to Sunny Beach, Nessebar or Elenite.

А perfect place for a quiet budget holiday

My girlfriend and I went to Bulgaria for a 1 week holiday back in July.We wanted somewhere that wasn't too touristy and abit cheaper than the overpriced Sunny Beach resort .We opted for a place a 10 minute bus journey away from Sunny Beach called Sveti Vlas (St Vlas),a littile town on the coast.We stayed in the Hotel DiRossi which was fantastic and immaculate! Its a family run hotel with a great location and facilties too!The swimming pool area was brilliant with plenty of sun loungers to catch a tan and the pool was a good size too!The family that own it speak great English and were so helpful to my girlfriend and myself throughout the whole holiday! our room overlooked the the whole coast and the view was lovely whilst sipping a beer that cost around 20 pence in English! The hotel was situated a 2 minute walk from the main square in Sveti Vlas and 5-10 minutes from the sandy beach which has plenty of bars and restuarants and all are amazingly cheap compared to the corporate prices back in England! There was 1 restaurant in particular at the end of the street where our hotel was,called the bistro which serves authentic Bulgarian cusine.It is one of the best if not the best meal we have had! Very generous portions aswell.4 starters,3 mains,dessert for 2,2 bottles of Bulagrian lager and 2 glasses of Bulgarian white wine....this all came to no more than £18 in English for the 2 of us! the lady who owned the restaurant managed it and the husband is a fisherman,so what he caught that day was prepared for the menu that evening,fantatstic!
We took a boat trip to Nessebur,which took about 40 minutes and was very resonably priced.Highly reccomend a visit there,alot of history to the place with great ancient sites too!
If you decide on visiting Bulgaria and want something with local culture that has pretty much everything you need in a holiday then St Vlas is ideal for families and young couples like us.
