Guesthouse Koliovata Kashta

Nikolai met us in the street and guided us in to their locale. A wonderful host, friendly and caring, he offered any help we needed to navigate our stay. Our room, on the third floor, was spacious and clean. A large bathroom with typical Bulgarian fixtures (still unusual for me) was spacious and clean. Our beds touted the usual Eastern European mattresses, relics from the Cold War with designs to inflict as much discomfort so as to garner secrets from us. Nothing out of the ordinary for Bulgaria, they were clean and maintained… just hard. A quiet night’s sleep and a nice cup of coffee (expresso to us), complete with dialogue from our hosts, in the morning prepared us for another day. You can’t go wrong here. They are really, really good people.
