I should say the room itself was really good. We got our own room for a great price and there were only 4 other rooms on the level so the shared bathroom was pretty clean and mostly free when you needed it. The kitchen and refridgerator was nice and large and they didn't mind you using it to cook your own food. Not too far from the town centre and very safe area. Worth the money but not without its faults.  

The wifi was dodgy the whole week we were there, we'd frequently go into cafes in town to connect. There was no hot water, only luke warm which isn't the best when it's so cold. The kitchen seemed to lack a lot of utensils and pans, we got by but could have been better. 

We were flying out to Santa Cruz, and had checked in online and needed to print our tickets and book a taxi. The manager said he would be there in 1hr to print our tickets that night but never showed. He said he'd booked our taxi for the next morning. In the morning I messaged him again about getting the tickets printed and he said he'd be there in 30mins to print them. 50mins later he hadn't turned up and our taxi was 10mins late. We had to get the cleaner to call us one and he wanted more money. 

In the description it says the airport is 6km away but this is the military airport, no civilian flights go out of there. We found out the hard way when the taxi turned up and we were told our flight was at the other airport an hour away out of town. If the manager had turned up to print our tickets, we'd probably have found out which airport we needed to be at. Pretty bad customer service which brought down what would have been a great hostel. 

Great rooms, Average staff

A perfect relaxing retreat with a quiet night's sleep and spotlessly clean bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. 
The WiFi is very good too. 
It's a shame they don't offer breakfast but there is a fully equipped kitchen for you to make your own at a time of your choosing and there are great places to eat within a ten minute walk. (Tip: cafe condor) The one downside is maybe the uphill walk on your way home.

Clean, quiet, good WiFi

One of the best hostels we've stayed in on our several months South America trip!
- very comfortable beds
- immaculately clean
- friendly staff who gave us a free upgrade to an ensuite room
- large, clean and well-equipped kitchen; they even have a smoothie maker and sandwich toaster
- great garden with barbecue facilities and comfy sunbeds
- great value for money - payed 600 Bolivianos for 7 nights in a large double room (circa £10/night)

Only downside is the mildly exhausting 4-block uphill walk from the central square and that the hostel was a bit quiet, as there weren't many other travelers.
