Convenient location in Thimphu, but still in a quiet area. This hotel has some of the most authentic Bhutanese furnishings that I have experience in Bhutan-rugs, furniture and textiles. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel has an elevator for those who struggle with stairs. The service was good and the breakfast buffet met everyone's dietary needs.

Authentic Bhutanese charm!

Amazing Place and Cozy place to stay, the staff and people are kind, accomodative and magical in organizing and providing the best to their ability and availability.
The food was near to home made quality, beds were clean, room servcice was very fast and amenities are very well maintained. Staff and Management is generous in accomodating our ad-hoc needs and as a general observation Bhutanesse people will not say NO unless they really have to! Thank you!

Amazing and Blessed Bhutan and Bhutanese people

The room was large and featured traditional Bhutanese architecture and decorations.  The windows were particularly beautiful, and framed a lovely view of the city and valley.  We were welcomed with freshly-prepared tea as we checked in.  The food and service in the dining room was plentiful and of good quality.  We only stayed one night in Thimphu, so did not have a chance to use the pool or see how walkable the location in town is.  Shower was terrific with plenty of hot water, and hair dryer worked great. Comfortable bed.

Traditional Bhutanese architecture in comfort

Lovely refurbished hotel in Thimpu. The interior is absolutely beautiful with decorated carved wood structures, silk cloth decorations and charming staff. The hotel also has a big indoor swimming pool, conference space and wedding reception space ! We swam in the pool which had separate changing facilities with showers too.
There’s an outside bar but we didn’t use it.

Beautiful authentically decorated and comfortable hotel

It is a very beautiful , full of character hotel. Rooms are huge and very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Located close to town. Food is good enough to eat. We came here to see the country so food doesn't bother me at all. Just a short stay so didn't have a chance to check the pool.

Short stay 2 nights there

Great rooms with sitting areas and amazing view of the mountains and valley. Clean and excellent service. Pleasant and helpful staff . Great place to relax between jaunts about the city. Sorry to not make use of the pool . Great courtyards to do tai chi . Food was more than adequate and fresh and healthy.

Luxurious  accommodations

The hotel is quite good. Beautiful from the inside. Nice, clean, largish rooms. Decent location - 5-7 minutes away from the clock tower. Food is actually good. They serve a decent buffet with a mix of local dishes and more 'universal' ones. Enjoyed the stay!

Quaint, colourful hotel

When we arrived at the hotel it had only just reopened after its refurbishment and for the one night of our stay, we were the only guests. Our room had a KSB, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and the hotel provided two bottles of filtered water. There was a hairdryer and toiletries provided. Our room had no aircon or safe.  There was a swimming pool which we did not have time to use. We ate in the hotel as there were no nearby restaurants. The food was very good with a soup starter and then a large variety of vegetable dishes with a chicken and beef dish, final a fresh fruit desert. In the morning we had cereal, fresh fruit, with eggs however you would like. The staff we met were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Our bill which was only for a few local beers had to be paid in cash.

Just reopened after refurbishment

This was the first hotel I stayed in Bhutan. It was very quaint and has character but the heating is poor. So the room and the hotel itself is very cold in winter. Food for dinner and breakfast were ok. 

Quaint hotel

Good Location (within walking distance to town centre). Lovely (Bhutanese) décor.
There was no shampoo & only 1 dental kit in the bathroom when we checked in. We had to ask for the toiletries. The room was very spacious but had only a small heater besides the bed & a bigger one in the sitting area. We tried to switch the heaters but the plugs couldn't fit. The plug for the hairdryer didn't fit very well & we had problem using it. 
Though the WiFi works quite well, the tv reception wasn't very good.
The mattress was firm & very comfortable. We slept very well.
The food was generally very bland & not warm enough.
The staff was very friendly & helpful. 
We visited the hotel spa & would have enjoyed the 'hot oil' massage much better if the spa room had better heating.
Even though the hotel claim to accept credit card payments, we couldn't pay via credit card.
