Acropolis Maya Hotel

My friend and I stayed for three nights. When we arrived Sony asked what type of room we would like (a/c or fan) and which floor (he had limited rooms as they were pretty full). He was very accommodating with us as we looked at a couple of different rooms. The rooms are very simple. They provided a towel and a bar of soap, plan on bringing own wash cloth, shampoo/conditioner (it's this way for all hostels/bunkhouses in Belize). The mattresses were good, the pillows were just ok-kind of lumpy. There was no dresser or place to hang clothes so had to stack on the one chair or just keep putting back in the suit case, which works. However, I must say after I mentioned it to him upon our departure, he said we should have said something and he would have gotten a rod for us to hang our clothes (I'm sure he would have done the same for the pillows). There is a kitchen that can be used on third floor. Plenty of seating areas to enjoy the breezes and views of the city. I watched the full moon from the roof top which was pretty cool! The Acropolis is located very near downtown, but far enough away to not hear the loud music all night long. The best part was how accommodating Sony was. He even ran and got us a few beers upon our arrival (which we paid for)! Super nice person. I recommend and would stay here again.
