Surprised to find that this was under new management, but we were pleasantly surprised.  Refurbished with parking area behind the hotel; convenient location – a short walk to the beach, tram and restaurants. We were on the second floor – no lift – which was fine for us.  Nicely decorated, clean with good ensuite showers. Very friendly and accommodating: although we didn’t eat here, when we returned at 11pm, we were happily provided  with coffees and a larger, sitting outside as it was extremely hot. The next morning we had a delicious big breakfast which included bacon, bread rolls, croissants and fruit salad. If we stay in De Panne again, we would definitely stay here.

Now called LA Hotel ...

Stayed overnight and was clean & tidy, restaurant was very modern and had a smoking lounge. We didnt eat in the restaurant as we couldnt find anything we liked and had no english translation on the menu probably because they do not get much english visitors. Owner Rolf was very friendly and chatty which was nice, breakfast was tea/coffee, rolls, ham, cheese, yoghurt, juices and was very nice. Rooms were large and clean with a tv, but no tea making facilities and rooms were a little tired, this isnt a criticism, just an observation as we were happy with the room. Onsite parking which was free, unlike street parking at other hotels. Location was good for us and fairly near to beach, bakery a few yards away and town is walking distance, although we drove. Overall a nice nights stay.

Clean & Tidy

Up a few flights of stairs but it was a great value room with excellent continental breakfast, lovely staff and clean amenities a short walk from the beach and the town which has a lot of good food and bars.

Pleasant Euro Location

First room was awful.... like a prison cell !!! Poor bedding.... poor bathroom... generally shabby.
Got moved to FAB room, double with balcony, same price !! Lovely !!
breakfast man was delightful, and made fresh omlettes for us, otherwise just continental brek. Would visit again, just the better room though x

Pre christmas shopping trip....

There is free car parking at the back of the hotel, and they made a space for us when we arrived as it was full. The rooms are only average, the beds lumpy,though breakfast was good. The owners really too busy to be bothered with us, they have a lovely restaurant downstairs, which was fully booked when we arrived so we didn't get a chance to try it out, but there wasn't enough staff to cope with their restaurant and our needs. It was a pleasant stay, and De Panne seemed a really nice place. I would like to go back for another look, but I would find a different hotel next time.
