This hotel was a terrible experience to us. My 86 year old mother arrived after midnight from a long flight from Egypt, only to find that the hotel had no elevators (which wasn't mentioned on the website). She had to climb 4 flights of stairs to her room. The young man behind the desk was very kind and helpful, which made up for this. However, the next day, after we had left, I realised I had forgotten my bikini in our bath room - I had gone for one last swim in the morning and had to pack it wet. On the little island I live I can't purchase such items, and I really wanted it back, so I contacted the hotel to ask if they could mail it to me while I paid for postage. They flat out refused because it was too much work. 

In my opinion, if you own a hotel, you must be prepared for the fact that guests will periodically forget items and there has to be some sort of willingness to help them out. I was dumbfounded to be confronted by this attitude and can't believe they were ever awarded three stars. 

It is particularly sad to me is that this happened in an independently owned hotel. I always prefer to support small, independently owned hotels rather than large franchises, but I am now rethinking this position. Had this hotel been part of a chain, I could have contacted the head office to explain the situation, while in this case, I have no recourse.

Extremely poor customer service

I've been there on business for two nights. Great location from the metro station and 10 mins to the Brussels South Railway Station where there is the Eurostar Link to London and Paris.. Can't tell too much about the hotel itself as I only spent the night there. Had no any issues though, quiet, friendly with helpful receptionists. In my free time just had a walk in the botanical garden, what is located only 5 mins walk. The Christmas market was 10 mins away. Also walking distance to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart (Basilique du Sacré-Coeur ).
