Alpenhotel Laurin

We stay at the hotel in room "Kirchenkogel de Luxe". The room was large, modern with nice and new bathroom. Room was a bit too dark. Even in the morning you had to turn on the light. The owners should add another window to this room then it would be perfect! Unfortunately, the room was located on the slope side, so the view was of the neighboring hotel, but when you leaned out from the balcony a little, you could see the mountains. Of course, you can pay even more and be located on the other side of the hotel. The lobby and common area are very nice. It is very cozy due to the wooden furniture and wall finishing elements. It's nice to sit there with a book or stare at the beautiful view of the mountains with a drink. A restaurant with beautiful, large windows and very polite service. We were seated in front of a large window, so every meal was incredibly pleasant. Brilliant dinners! We liked everything! There is always a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian dishes. Great combinations of flavors and textures, something new every day. Delicious and large desserts! I miss them already! Breakfast a bit too monotonous. Although of course everyone will find something for themselves, it would be nice if the buffet was more varied, because it was the same all the time for 7 days. A large selection of bread, croissants, sweet cakes, cereals and muesli. Always hot scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. I missed more vegetables, e.g. lettuce, arugula, fresh sprouts and more varied cheeses than just yellow. Evening meal times were a bit too late for us, 6.45-8.30 p.m. We don't normally eat large meals this late, it would be better for us to start at 6 p.m. The spa is very nice. Unfortunately, the pool is small and occupied almost all the time by children, so it's hard to swim there, rather soak in the water and look at the mountains. Wet and dry sauna, cold room with ice, gym, plenty of places to rest, drinking water point. The only thing missing is a terrace to go from the sauna to the snow. There is an open door but with the words "emergency only" written on it :) Unfortunately saunas open hours only 4-7 p.m. Bathrobes should be available to every guest in the room and not for an additional fee. You can reach the ski slope via really long stairs or through the parking lot of the neighboring hotel. Is very close. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
