We stayed in a group of 12 including three kids and the hotel could not have been more accommodating! All of the waiting and bar staff are a great asset to this hotel, very friendly, kind and helpful, we really enjoyed all of your company. 

The bar area is great with lots of comfy seats to enjoy the evenings, drinks were not a bad price and lots of choice (also pizzas very good in the bar!). The pool and spa area was great fun also and a great way to spend an hour after skiing. This hotel was perfect for our skiing holiday. It’s great location in a beautiful and traditional resort and village, we loved it. 

The rooms were a good size, plenty of hanging space, warm, cosy and the beds super comfortable. The shower was hot and a good pressure and a heated floor which was lovely. The rooms have balcony’s which is a great feature. 

My only small negative was a few of the meals in the evenings. There were some rather odd combinations (apricot in pasta- what is this about?!) and the quality of some of the meals was not good. Also the portion sizes were small for some things and flavours were often repeated. That being said the salad buffet, cheese boards, starters, afternoon tea and breakfast were all great, as were 50% of the main meals such as the duck, steak and garlic mushroom pasta! Think there were just some rouge main meals in there. 

Would definitely stay here again as we had a great time so thank you to everyone :)

Great stay here - staff were amazing!

We had a terrific week in Zauchensee and all through the week the food and service at Enzian hotel was really great. Honestly, all the meals was great with various options. The personell was all friendly and very well organized. 


Great food and hospitality

We visited Enzian this year for the third time in row which probably tells enough already. The room is spacious and the hotel booking policy is flexible for ski resort standards - come and go on the day you prefer - where most hotels have minimal 1 week stay obligations from Saturday to Saturday Enzian is flexible. Something other hotels can learn from.
The Zauchensee area is great for skiing.
The hotel half board is of good quality.
We did notice that the new staff this year had to find its way but they are friendly and picked up quickly.
Lovely wines as well.


Nice location close to slopes and ski lift 

Excellent room with balcony and view to the cable car. Nice restaurant and good food. Nice welcome reception and all staff friendly. A good value hotel and would like to return next season. The resort offers varied but generally pleasant ski runs and a selection of good mountain huts and not over expensive.

Nice friendly hotel  and excellent location.

Our first visit to this quiet resort and what a pleasant surprise. The hotel Enzian is right at the edge of the village and directly opposite one if the main gondola lift which allow you to ski over into the A10 valley of Flachauwinkl.
A friendly smile greeted us and a member of staff took us to our room which had a balcony and view across to the lift opposite. The room was pleasantly furnish with Double continental comfortable bed, settee, desk, chair and plenty of wardrobe and cloth space with a separate hanging area for airing ski cloths. The washroom and shower had underfloor heating with a separate WC.
Ski and boot room is on the ground floor and is equipped with room numbered lockers. The ground floor also has the almost mandatory sauna, steam room and relaxation areas all very pleasantly decorated with some interesting art work on the wall. There is also a swimming pool if you have not done enough during the day . One small  criticism was that the sauna was rather small and one is estrictive to 4 or 5 at a time. The restaurant  is located with the reception and the first of the rooms on the 1st floor. All areas are served by a lift. 
It would be unjust to be critical of any of the meals we had during our week and there was always a choice of 3 courses and a fish course, Starters, soup, main, and sweet also with a buffet choice of salad etc. and ice cream. 
The staff were all  always happy smiling and helpful. 
Would I stay there again? Most definitely without a doubt. On a wider view there is skiing for all levels. A great small resort with plenty of slope side Huttes. 

A ski resort with minimal night life outside the hotel

Stayed in a comfort room (with a sofa) and balcony opposite of the ski lift with a fantastic view. Ski rental 50 m away. Pool and sauna was great. Restaurant, food and service was perfect. No nightlife what so ever in Zauchensee!
