A very lovely place to stay just outside of Abtenau and quite close to the scenic postalmstrasse. 
We stayed in the 2 bed apartment on the 1st floor. The place is clean, warm and spacious. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and surpassed expectations. 
There is a balcony accessible from the apartment kitchen which offers beautiful views over the mountains and valleys. 
We went during ski season and the roads are very well maintained and free from snow. 
We loved our stay here! 

A home from home 

Several apartments in a house adjacent to dairy farmers house. Most websites give the impression that  the communal living room on the groundfloor with the coffee machine  is part of one of the apartments. It isn't. Beautiful setting and wonderful views from the main balcony, but run in a sort of haphazard way.  Slightly rundown, neglected (but then farmers all over the world are not noted for keeping their gardens, premises tidy, mown etc). Actually about 10 minutes off the main Abtenau to Halstatt road. Parking Ok but can get congested if all apartments full.  Some of the groundfloor and basement used as farm office, workers abode, workshop,laundry etc.  Beds comfortable and ensuite shower rooms fine. Advertises that it produces milk, butter, cheeses etc , but actually these are not available here, only up at establishment on Postalm; no milk or any starter supplies provided in apartments. Fridge was off when we arrived in 35 degree temperatures; no ice tray; kitchen implements adequate but sparse. Pricing appears flexible and better to book direct if you can (they are not good at email or txt messaging). She only accepts cash, which could be a problem if you stay for several days.  The view and the ability to sit quietly of an evening on the balcony is the selling point, but this can be spoilt by noisy guests in other apartments who take over the seating below, make smelly barbeques and drink heavily with loud talk etc into the night and early morning. Guess that goes for anywhere really, but the fact that there is a common room, means that guests are constantly running up and down the 37 stairs.  For the price (we two paid Eur 100 per night) they should provide a few basic starters like milk, butter, perhaps a welcome bottle of wine etc.
