We haven’t even stayed yet and it’s already a poor experience. Buried in the small print is that this “budget” accommodation (which is on par price wise with similar accommodation in the area) doesn’t provide linen, right down to bath mats, which they won’t clearly inform you of until you’ve paid and they send the booking confirmation. Contacted Carol at Caloundra Holiday Centre who was absolutely no help was only concerned about getting commission from the owner. Avoid Salt on King’s unless you’re keen on a BYO holiday.

Avoid avoid avoid

We stayed as a family for a few nights. We had a 3bed & 2bed room apartment
The pros:
Main living area, main bedroom & both baths were very spacious which was fantastic for 4yrs, 2yrs & 8month old kids. 
Close to the beach- the private walk way was great- kids easily did the walk but there are a few stairs.
Huge balconies
Heated pool
2bed apartment had a sunroom with extra bed. 

The cons
- location: there were only a few resturants nearby & it was a bit of a walk to the main street where there was an IGA- ok for teenagers/adults but no good for kids
- condition of cleaning: on the surface it looked clean but the finer details were missed. There was thick dust on the tile edge on the wall- right where you hung your towel. Main toilet had dust/dirt around the seat hinge. 

Overall, our stay was enjoyable but I wouldn’t return due to the cleaning issues. 

Spacious apartments but lacking attention to the finer details

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Salt on Kings while visiting family in Caloundra. Gorgeous modern, clean and spacious apartment with everything you need. 2 minute walk to lovely beaches and the beautiful Caloundra salt water pool. Highly recommend! 

Amazing family stay

Apartment was spacious, clean and a short walk to the beach. View was of neighbouring buildings. We didn’t get the requested bed configuration, air conditioning didn’t reach second and third bedrooms, no bedside lights, no wifi. Lounge room had three seater couch and two bean bags, not ideal.

Disappointing 

I am pleased I read the reviews after staying here.   Some of the negative comments, I feel are un-just.  We had a very pleasant 6 night stay, the apartment on the 4th floor had a restricted view of the ocean, but as we were there to relax, view isn't everything.  As we were staying as part of a sports club, many team members had other rooms, and we had the pleasure of inspecting these.  Everything seemed tip top and up-to-date.  All our rooms had aircon, which was needed on the first few days, yes the parking was back to back, but it was no big deal.  The pool and grounds were pleasant and the welcome from Misty, the on-site manager was pleasant.  We also needed some paper work printing, and Misty went out of her way to help - she printed our documents and advised us when they were done.  I can not complain about anything (but the weather...), the units were a close walk to everything, and the facilities perfect for what we needed.  Everything you'd need in the kitchen was there, and the benefit of full laundry and kitchen made this a great home away from home.  Thanks for a great week!

Beautiful pool side room.
Chic and amazing bathroom.
Excellent chefs kitchen.
Quality bed and bedding. 
Proximity to the pristine beach and ample shopping and dining options made for a great stay.
Will be back more often.

Relaxed and pampered

Wow, We booked our accommodation on line and had a 2 bedroom apartment so had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the unit. It was on the second floor with a view of the sea. We wish we could have taken the dining room suite home. The furniture was all of a high standard. Double basins in the bathroom, excellent pressure in the shower. Our beds were comfortable & there was plenty of wardrobe space. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the swimming pool & spa which we used a few times. Handy having our own washing machine & dryer. Only a 250mtr walk to a safe patrolled swimming beach & there are many cafe's , eateries within walking distance. A perfect location for a variety of walks & the shopping centre is close by. This was not a serviced apartment so be aware you need to supply everything yourself. We will definitely go back if we get the opportunity.
