Very friendly people. Motel is very centrally located so easy access to shops, clubs. Bed was quite comfy. Room was clean. Shower pressure was good and water temperature was good. The only negative was that the wifi was intermittent  - we finally gave up on using it.

Fantastic find on the lake front. Visited here recently whilst passing through the area and really enjoyed our stay. The people who run it are lovely. Nice relaxing spot, we got a lake view room and had a fantastic sleep. 
The bar/restaurant suggestions that the lady gave us when we checked in were also really good.

Great find on the lake front

This place is old but loved.  I took a waterfront room and had a great view of the amazing bird life.  The room has lots of personal touches and, pleasant surprise, a coffee pod machine.  I’ve stayed in many more expensive places that just give you the old instant packet.  The Swansea RSL is just up the road and provides a good, cheap meal and a surprisingly interesting wine list.  A great place to break your trip but it would also be a good base for a longer stay.

Loved it!

I wanted to love this hotel as it was very close to Swancey RSL with a jetty that was an absolute waterfront. All of these points were satisfied. However, the hotel is very very rundown. I have to say I was very disappointed as I had hoped to make this a regular hotel, that me and my friend stay at when we came up to Swansea for fishing, I’m not going to go into specifics but I would have to say the floor waste doesn’t seem to have a water air trap to it as the shower/toilet area was very smelly.  I’m sorry black swan, it’s time to reinvest in some modernisation!,

Very old,…dated run down

We booked 3 rooms, 6 adults for the weekend.
We were so surprised with how clean, tidy and what a location!. 
We all sat at the tables on the water at our doors and enjoyed watching the bird life, lots of fish jumping.  It was quite and peaceful and the owners were so friendly. 
The rooms had everything we needed, VERY CLEAN, comfortable and a little retro. Just loved it. 
We walked around the caves at caves beach.
We walked to Coles, bottle shop and the RSL for live music and an amazing meal. 
We are planning to all go back with our kyacks and fishing rods for the weekend.  
I would highly recommend staying here and looking forward to staying there again.

This really surprised us - fantastic view on the water!

Quite simple, older style motel, but everything you might need.  So peaceful with the water right out of your window.  Walking distance to the RSL & pub - both of which have nice meals.  Loved watching the birds on the pier.

Right on the water

We spent a very wet and tough days on the ocean and needed to stay in Swansea and dry out for the night. Unfortunately I didn’t realise there was a jetty which would have been great.
The couple who manage this motel couldn’t do enough to help us. We were obviously wet, cold and needing a good place to rest after beating into the weather all day in the yacht. 
Next morning Glen, the owner took us to our boat. What amazing hospitality. 
It was amazing to learn that we all had a similar background in health.

This was our 6th post xmas break at The Black Swan Motel and although the motel has changed hands we had another amazing stay here.Even with rain and wind everyday it was lovely just to relax and unwind We had a great waterfront room again, friendly new owners.Highly recommend staying here.
