This was just a fantastic place , stayed 5 nights only intended to stay 2. Great location was as on point as Happy Hanna, she made my stay and was a true delight with a wealth of local information and always with a big smile .. thanks Hannah see you again soon.

Bamboo Backpackers from the first appearance wasn't very highly rated by myself. Entrance was dark, the place looked a little dated but within an hour of been there, I felt like I was at home. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a 4 dorm room that had room to store my luggage and still move around. Kitchen wasn't always clean, I blame that on people staying there not the staff. Did find it annoying having to go to reception to get plates, cups, knife and forks, every time I needed it. Evening arrangements with heading out to bars/clubs, could do with a little bit of work as everybody gives different times for meeting (ranging from 7:30-9:30 pm). Couldn't complain about the offers we received on the nights out. Don't pay for shuttle $25 or taxi $35-$45 from or to airport. Just catch the bus from airport to city centre and then it's 10-15 minutes walk to hostel. Costing you only $4.70. I only stayed there for a week but would happily stayed longer and would go back in the future. Thank you Bambu team 

The location of this backpackers is great, right in the heart of it all.
The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, particularly the strawberry blonde girl. She went out of her way to really help us out.
There is good wifi. There are spaces for socialising, listening to music, watching tv, and playing games. 
Only downfalls are the showers, the hooks are really far away so it is hard to get dressed and it feels a bit like an out door shower, I think it might be the style though, little bit crampy.
The beds seems to sway a bit but they are comfortable.
This seems like a backpackers that tends to have a lot of long stay people there as well.
Overall, A nice experience at this backpackers.

Homely community hostel 

Great location, great staff, bit shabby

this hostel is really dirty and unhealthy, the rooms are horrible!
Holes on the ground, The parts of the ceiling are broken and dangerous!
This backpapers hostel really need to be improved quickly !!!
It's a shame

Dirty, superdirty and unhealthy !

Don't book it!!!!I slept in this horrible place just one night!This hostel is terribile. Super dirty, very dirty sheets and unconfortable beds, rudes and noyse people, the key didn't working. Very bad experience.!!!
