If you are the type of person that likes the great outdoors but wants to explore Hue City this is the place for you! It's about 5 minutes outside the main city along the river. Vu, an experienced tour guide is exceptionally knowledgeable of the area and the different activities around Hue. He showed us to a lovely hill with a pine forest along the river,  to watch the sunset, mainly locals go there to picnic. If you're handy or artistic definitely drop by Vu's homestay to add a special flair to this beautiful place. The entire stay we felt so welcomed and looked after by Vu, we wanted to stay forever! 10 stars if possible! Thank you for an amazing time Vu, can't wait to see you next time! :)

Soulful authentic Vietnamese retreat with a lovely local family!

Vu is a very nice and warmly person who loves to have a talk with his guests. The kitchen there is very good, i highly recommend the banh my! 
The cabine is nice with a good air condition inside. You can choose between bigger and smaller rooms. 
By the way, there are two lovely cats there who loves to play around. 
It was a very nice stay and the host is the best i've had so far.

Great place to stay!

The property is located in an alley facing to rice paddy. There is a garden surrounding your room, so you could get a good view when staying here. The host is super friendly and helpful. He also serves meals with several different options. I would like to recommend this place to everyone. 

Good value for money 

Planned to stay 1-2 nights, ended up staying for 18. Vu, the owner, is the friendliest and funniest host we have met so far on our trip through SE-Asia. We actually became friends and didn’t want to leave but had to continue our travels!
The homestay is set in a beautiful garden, accommodation is basic (it’s a homestay) but comfortable, breakfast delicious. Had an amazing time here. Thank you Vu and family!

Best homestay in Vietnam

We stayed two nights at Vu Homestay. It’s a beautiful place. Vu is a hard working man with a lot of passion for his homestay. We did a two day tour with Vu, it was great! He told us a lot about the places we visit and about Vietnam. 
We had a great homemade dinner and very good breakfast.
We miss him already!

Wonderful time at Vu Homestay

I booked a room here for 1 night and ended up staying for 3 weeks. Owner/manager Vu is the main reason. This guy does everything and is a friendly, knowledgeable guy who knows how to deliver good customer service. I stayed in one of the lower level rooms surrounded by gardens and rice fields, the room is basic but quite adequate for me. I didn't eat many meals here except for breakfast but when I did, the food was good and the servings were large. Vu gave me many suggestions for places to visit in the surrounding area, he would even wash my motorbike when I returned from exploring. If you want to experience peaceful countryside living being only 10 minutes away from the city, and be with the best host in Hue, you won't find a better place to stay.

At least most rooms are really small cabins/capsules in the garden, which is actually quite idyllic. Toilet and shower in their basement aren’t too fancy, though. The staff is very friendly and it’s one of the cheapest places around. Stick to the address in TripAdvisor - booking.com shows to wrong place and in Google Maps and Maps.me you need to search with different name (Vu Ogarnic Farmstay). The restaurant didn’t have nearly that many options that were in the menu, but it’s alright.

Expect low budget, but a good one

Stayed at Vu’s for a few days. He was a fantastic host! Could give lots of tips, advise and cooked the most amazing meals. The home stay is also very nice with different styles of huts in a beautiful garden. But mattresses hard!
