I stayed here solo for 2 days on a backpacking trip through SE Asia. I was supposed to stay in Hoi An but my travel buddy and I parted ways at the airport in Da Nang and I didn’t want to stay in Hoi An so jumped in a taxi and desperately asked the driver to take me to a decent hotel, no too cheap and not too expensive, clean, and safe. I knew nothing about Da Nang or where to go or what to do. Luckily, the driver brought me to this hotel which was priced really well (50,000 dong), great location about 5 min walk to the beachfront, and family-owned. The room was clean and quiet. Tong and his family took great care of me over the next two days, helping me with laundry, breakfast, day trip to Hoi An, and getting to the airport. Of note, there may be some “red light district” behavior going on in the general vicinty- saw girls in high heels and asked to get a massage next door was told it was only for men- but didn’t affect my stay at Sunflower. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Da Nang and so happy I got to stay here for a few days rather than Hoi An with all the other tourists. Beachfront is super chill and great place to unwind. Seafood was really good. Lady Buddha pagoda def worth a visit. Go to Da Nang!
