I just arrived in Dalat hoping to find an ok place to rest and get a body massage because I spent the last 10 hours on the bus from Danang. Boy was this place a huge mistake. The room wasn't clean, the water didn't work properly and the bed was uncomfortable. I couldn't spend more than 30 minutes after I paid for a regular massage that the person stopped and started arguing with me for more money to continue. Knowing enough Vietnamese to get by everything I said was claimed to not be understood. I never finished the regular body massage and couldn't spend any more time at Mimosa. This motel and massage is a disgusting stain in Dalat. Needless to say I love Dalat and the relaxation that it brings. Like all places lesson learned before you go into a place, always check ratings and reviews.

**Suggestion to the motel- Find better more honest staff members/ Keep cleanliness and comfortability in your business plan.

Great for losers

I just want to confirm that this place is absolutely horrendous! So unbelievably dirty and it's clearly not a regular hotel. It's a brothel. I didn't see this at the time of check-in; I arrived during a power break so the entire city was in complete dark, and the rain was pouring down, I just really needed a place to stay... I got my room, left my stuff in it and went out for dinner with my friend (who had prebooked at Green City, the neighbouring hotel). When I returned, and the power was back and I could actually see the place and what was going on in it, I was horrified! I collected my stuff, demanded my passport back (which took a while since the "receptionist" was "busy") and left. This place should clearly not be listed in Hotels.com.


100% horrible

After reading previous reviews,  we were a little shocked as we enjoyed our stay. We were never offered massages or felt like there was a brothel operating. For $10 we got a basic but clean room  and for $1pp you got a large breakfast (2eggs, 2bagettes, home made strawberry jam and coffee).  There was some noise but that came from the coffee/nightclub next door.

good budget hotel

We stayed at this "hostel" by pure chance, I guess it wasn't a good start when the owner came to haggle room prices with us in the street upon arrival to Dalat. The hostel was basic however the rooms were cheap and it was in a central location. We soon discovered it was too central for our liking. When relaxing in the reception area eating a chip butty minding our own buisiness it came to our attention that various men on mopeds were entering the building (driving through reception I might add) and exchanging money next to the VIP massage sign. The penny finally dropped when one of the staff members in a very short mini skirt winked at my female friend. It then became apparent that the men were visiting for "services" and would exit the hostel via a alley.....thank you Trip Aadvisor for confiming our thoughts as we then made a sharp exit, escape for Mimosa style. We won't be staying here again but mam bach the chips really did hit the spot :)

Shocking discovery

After a terrible nights sleep at Peace hotel down the road in Da Lat, we found the first cheap place we could to stay. We agreed on $10 a night in Mimosa hotel. At first seemed alright - basic but dirty. The issue came at night however. About 10.30 we began to become very irritated by the constant noise that the hotel had had for the past couple of hours, so my boyfriend went up the stairs to see what was going on. He was greeted by half a dozen local men and a couple of scantily clad women. He asked what was going on, to which all they said was, "massage? Massage?". He then went downstairs to the lobby where even more men were, and tried to find someone who spoke English to see what was going on. They acted intimidatingly and kept offering him massages. After a quick look outside the hotel it became clear that this was the only place in the whole road that was open - with a large flashing "Massage" sign right outside. He came back up to our room and told me what had happened. I was awake pretty much the whole night hearing everything - and I mean everything - that was going on in the hotel. It was absolutely nauseating. In the morning we checked out as quickly as we could. To the receptionist's credit, it seemed as if she either wasn't aware or pretended not to know about what was going on at night, and was extremely apologetic. Despite this, there was a large sign on the desk offering 'lady' and 'VIP' massages... We should have noticed on our way in! Stay away from this place - the whole experience has made my skin crawl.
