Scary Place indeed. Rooms are about 2.5 to 3. Lobby, hallways etc. smell of heavy smoke!! You have to sign a waiver for $500. Against any smoke or damage to the room. Warnings & deposits for everything. Will stay in the room daylight to daylight.

Bad area with bad clientele.

I was in Wichita this week for work and I stayed at 316 
The price was great but the staff was even better!
Lots of food within walking distance! Short distance to some very nice parks for relaxing after work. Conveniently located near lots of businesses for work or family travel!

Great price for the stay

Rooms feel like home and have a comfortable vibe to them.  Reading reviews online I was skeptical as to whether or not this would be the best place to stay due to the are but we are very happy with our decision to stay here. If this hotel was in a different area of town it would be 10times better. The receptionist Edwin got us checked in very promptly and was very friendly and helpful. The night receptionist Margaret was very helpful in getting us soap and towels when we needed them and the morning receptionist Tayla was helpful in extending our stay. I will recommend this place to others.  Very exceptional service and very attentive staff.

Very convenient

I came here due to a family member being in an accident we were life watched over to Wesley Hospital where we will stay for months. We were greeted by Tayla when we checked in she provided us with a gift and a sincere letter letting us know they are willing to help with anything to alleviate stress! Edwin and Cesear were prompt to get us towels and were also very attentive to our needs. We will be staying here anytime we are in the area. Thank you guys for all you did for our family during this time! I can truly say that the staff here go above and beyond for anyone and everyone that walks through those doors. 

The only thing I wish I could change was the location of this hotel. The homeless population is very large and intimidating in the area. Edwin and Cesear made sure to ask anyone that was begging for cigarettes or money to leave. They made myself and my sons feel very safe and protected during our stay.

Gem in the rough

316 hotels and absolutely the best hotel to stay in a while because of my job i been doing the hotel thing for about four months now and they are one of the best that I stay in. I highly recommend them to everyone in and Wichita or if you are visiting.

The Best

I stayed here one night - convenient location if you are needing access to Via Christy hospital, but otherwise, no reason to stay here!  It is in a sketchy area of town.....lots of homeless in the area.  We didn't get to the hotel until after 9:00 and very questionable people were in the parking lot....not sure if they were guests or just hanging out, but it was a little creepy!  There were no outside lights other than the parking lot lights, but the hotel itself wasn't lit up at all.  Check in was fine and our room was fine.  However, the description listed on TripAdvisor describes a fantastic breakfast complete with omelette station, fresh fruit, and locally roasted coffee.  That is totally FALSE!  There was a pan of scrambled eggs, some apples, a few cereal choices, bread, and waffles.  The eggs weren't even hot!  I asked a worker about the omelette station and she said they no longer did that.  I also asked about drinks -- she said they didn't have juice.  There was water and milk in the mini fridge.  The coffee was Folgers -- I saw her putting more in the carafes.  I think if you are going to advertise this fabulous breakfast, you need to carry through with it or take down the description so guests aren't expecting it!  They also have a "hotel cat" -- I'm a pet person, but thought it was kind of strange that a cat was wondering through the lobby.  I sat down on a fabric bench to wait for my husband & had to brush cat hair off my clothes.

No Thank You!

One block over is skid row. Sketchy people walking through the parking lot all night. I was afraid to leave my car unattended. The pictures on website are bs. The place is not nice. Very bad part of town. If you want to score some meth this place is for you. A block over and you are in drug town.

Do not stay here

I had a good stay....Comfortable, clean room at only about $35. The best part was the fresh made to order omelet or burrito! Staff was friendly, and care was taken in little things. They did a great job solving a couple of my smaller frustrations with many hotels: often it’s hard to find enough electric plugs for computer, charger etc without having to unplug something. My room had 10 outlets I could use. My other peeve with about half the hotels is poor bathroom lighting for shaving. This hotel had a large spotless mirror that was well lit. The room had a desk etc. This would be a good hotel for a business traveler. The bed was a little “squeaky” but enabled a good nights sleep. I appreciate the television. It goes to the program guide when you turn it on, and the remote is simple to use, not the case in many hotels! This would be a first choice if ever in town again.

Best breakfast on vacation!

I booked this hotel from Hotwire based on the good reviews but surely I’ll investigate a little further next time. You can tell that they try so I give them an A for effort but we pulled in around 9pm after driving all day and was immediately greeted by a homeless man seeking food and/or money. Basically, the location is not great. The constituents are interesting to say the least. However the room was fine for a quick night sleep before hitting the road again. I’d just rather have something a tad safer so I’m giving the hotel 2 stars.

Not a diamond in the rough

This hotel was booked for a single night and paid for through Priceline.

Gave them my card to put a $10 hold for incidentals. This amount was refunded.

The problem is, they also charge me $79, $69, another $10 and two days later yet another $158.

I was informed it will take them 7-10 just to return it. Unacceptable number of mistakes.

Will absolutely not revisit this hotel.
