Pool closed........ Beach chair rental company rude and aggressive. Rules are annoying and not kid friendly.  Kids have to get out for the last 15 mins of every hour. Parking is $50 for extra passes.  I would look to other condos.  We booked b/c of the pool but turns out that was not even open. 

Beach bummer trip

CAUTION:   Several of these reviews are referencing the Boardwalk Hotel and Convention Center - not the Boardwalk Central Condos.   Boardwalk Condos are individually owned and managed.   The COA is not responsible for the contents and care of the interior of the condo.   The COA manages and maintains the common areas of the building.   In the last 1+ years several things have been upgraded at the Boardwalk Central - bathroom facilities on promenade deck, pool, splash pad, pool furniture, automatic doors which provide ADA access to pool and beach area.   Other upgrades are in the works.   


BOARDWALK CENTRAL CONDOS OR BOARDWALK HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER - BOOK WITH CAUTION

We paid WAY too much for this dirty, run down condo #1504. I ended up cleaning when we arrived. We would have left but most places were full. Dishwasher didn’t clean/dry, hard to put up food when refrigerator had 3 broken shelves freezer had 1. It a good thing my oldest owns a construction company he had to fix the
kitchen sink & both tubs stopped up multiple times, toilet broke, only 8 forks, almost no plates or cookware, only a few stained towels, kiddie pool area broken & blocked off all week, only a couple elevators working. Walls, furniture, kitchen cabinets, oven, cooktop, cabinets, curtains soo dirty. Black mold growing in both bathrooms. Shower curtain torn half way off. TV remotes didn’t work. Kitchen table leaf was broken & we only had 5 chairs (condo slept 8). Poolside bathrooms no soap or even soap dispensers so no way to wash hands. I will say the beach was gorgeous. We did enjoy the snack bar & poolside live music at night. Kids not allowed to jump in pool, no pool floats or toys (even the tiny 4inch plastic shark my 3yo grandson was quietly playing with), no speakers or even your phone playing low at your own table, no drinks (even bottled water) allowed within 4 feet of pool. Kids must get out of the pool for 10 min every hour to “go to the bathroom” (the ones with no soap).

Run away….

Didn't get room promised, didn't get checked in until 7:00 pm
Pool closed. People rude. The TV does not work. All ice machines not working. The room dirty. This is our fourth time staying here and the list.

RACIST. Employees racially profile and kick people of color off of the premises! Its absolutely disgusting and the employees need to face consequences. Do not book these condos if you are a person of color! Do NOT give these people your money.

We have stayed at this property many times.  This year we stayed in unit 1402.  It was not clean, toilets needed more cleaning.  As I was cleaning in the kitchen, found broken glass up next to the toe kick.  What appeared to be dog hair on the balcony.  Unit was run down.  Never had a bad experience at this property until this year.  Hopefully, this is an isolated event.  We love this place and its location.

Cleaning needs improvement.

These people lie about the total agreed on at reservation and add over $100 at their convenience after 3 days of stay. Also changed the amount 3 times as well. Don't stay here. The room also has cracks under the door and roaches come in. Go somewhere else to spend your money.

Rip off people

Pictures make it look nice, kitchen is nice but not equipped with things that most families together need likea big pot for crab boil or a blender for drinks, balcony Chairs are weak and make you feel like they will break and heavy that you can't hardly move them,  master bedroom is equipped with one dresser but 2nd bedroom didn't have anything to store clothes in, building materials stored in closet right in the way of our things and floors were nasty that it made our feet black for the little time we walked in it barefoot.  All in all it just needs deep cleaned and dressers put to store your clothes in and not have to live out of your suitcase.  Reached out to owner about the blender and still no response like he just don't care. Never will I rent this condo again but would stay at boardwalk condos again even though security is strict  it made us feel safe. Ps. Where the ac unit is in the closet it looked like a big dust bowl that has never been cleaned

Condo 302

I booked with Zia Vacation Rentals. Boardwalk 1805.

The pictures and reviews for this unit looked great. I was very excited for my vacation. After paying upfront and starting to sign the agreements I began to notice many typos in them which began my worrying. I stayed optimistic and excused the worry with the typos being due to it being a smaller rental company. When I first arrived at the property there were no luggage carts in sight so we carried our luggage and had to make 2 trips. The first time I went into the unit I noticed a strange odor. After getting settled I had many complaints. My first complaint was that the unit was not very clean. The refrigerator was soaked with condensation and I had to dry it out before I could use it (after the first day I noticed the temperature was as low as it could go), there was some type of food left in the garbage disposal, and some cabinets looked in need of repair. All the chairs on the balcony were ripped on the edges! The curtain over the sliding glass door had a huge brown stain and many rips in the back side of it. The chairs at the bar were missing nuts on the ends of bolts (I realized this after bumping into one and then discovered it was all of them) they could also use some of the slide pads on the legs because the nose when moving them is unbearable! Lights above the bar did not work and one did not even have a bulb in it! There was a smoke alarm hanging off the wall by its wires in the hallway. The bathroom didn't get any better. The hand towel rack was barely holding on the wall, there was rust around the fixtures above the mirror, not to mention the lights were totally different colors, the shower curtain barely met the top of the tub, the poor patching of holes from a previous towel rack, and a very dirty damaged baseboard. The headboard of the bed in the bedroom is actually on a picture that must have been placed there with the previous furniture and all of the beds were very uncomfortable. There was also stains on the comforter of 1 bed. I did also see a baby roach run across the floor after being there for 2 or 3 days but luckily never seen any of his friends. I have pictures of all of the above claims and will also post this review to other sites with the pictures. I hate for people to spend this kind of money and not get what they paid for. As far as the facility itself it was in need of a good cleaning as well! The ground floor where you access pools and the beach reaked of trash and I literally had to hold my nose. Sprinklers on the splash pad were half functional, no one cleaned the beach showers the entire time I was there, it was 2 days before they cleaned the sand from the pool and hottubs, and the pretty fountains you see are non functional. Save your money on this one. Choose somewhere else!

Disappointing

Huge condo, 3 full bedrooms, 2 king beds 1 queen. Hard as a rock. Plus a bunk room. The view and very large balcony was amazing. Had to use both hands and a lot of muscle to open the balcony doors. Kitchen is modestly equipped.  No carpet. Picture on site is old. Couch was dirty but comfy. All in all it was great, hard to not love coffee on the balcony with that view.
