We went to Monument Vally in 2021 and stayed at The View Hotel.  This trip (6/2024) we traveled with family and stayed in 2 cabins; best decision ever!  We loved  the cabins AND the view was spectacular!  We experienced a huge thunderstorm shortly after arriving that knocked out power for hours, cabins were first to come back on.  
A good continental breakfast was served up each morning in the hotel.  We went on a cultural scenic tour the next moaning, a must do-fabulous!  Cabins were far better for families than View Hotel.  
Love magical Monument Valley!

Best place to stay in Monument Valley

These are nice, spacious cabins with an amazing view.  Included breakfast at the hotel and two complimentary bottles of water that you also need to go to the hotel to get.  Check in was quick though not very friendly.  Could not get on the wifi in the cabin. There is a great hike that begins at the far side of the cabins that we stumbled upon and were so happy we did.  The standout here is the view!

Nice cabins with an amazing view

We stayed in a cabin with our two boys (ages 10 and 12) for one night. The price was outside our typical budget, but I'd had this place on my travel wishlist for a long time, and it did not disappoint!

We found all the staff very nice and helpful, and we had no problems with check-in or anything else. Be aware that you have to pay the fee to enter the tribal park ($8 per person). This fee was good for the day. So if you leave the tribal park the next day, you will have to pay again to re-enter. 

The view from the cabin and the hotel was incredible! I didn't even realize for a while that there was no TV in the cabin, because we just sat on the porch and took it all in. 

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Three full meals and an appetizer for $100 was pricey, but we knew this place would be expensive, and we budgeted for it. My only real disappointment here was that I had been looking forward to trying fry bread, but it was no longer on the menu. There are many other places in the general area where you can get it. 

They gave us a gift certificate for $20 in the gift shop -- this only applies to handcrafted items such as blankets or pottery. 

We took a short hike in the morning and went to breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast had fewer offerings that what you would find at a chain hotel, and it seemed that when they ran out of something, that was it. 

We took the scenic drive only as far as John Ford Point and then turned around. We were ready to be on our way to the next town by that point. 

For us this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I would recommend it as such. It was a wonderful, memorable highlight of our trip.

Worth the price!

The cabins at the view were a wonderful place to stay on our USA Road trip! The cabin was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, and the view were just breathtaking. We woke up early, made a coffee from the coffee maker in the room and watched the sunrise. All staff were friendly and helpful and the gift shop was great, so many beautiful hand-made navajo items as well as classic souvenirs. We even were given a $20 gift voucher on arrival which was a lovely touch. 
Dinner was delicious, homemade traditional navajo dishes as well as some more classic dishes. Plus there was breakfast included in the stay which was a surprise to us. Good selection of the usual stuff- cereal, muffins, pancakes, bacon, eggs.

A brilliant stay, would definitely recommend!

Breathtaking views

The place was exceptionally clean and easy access. We read the reviews prior to this trip and were skeptical but once we got there, we were surprised how clean and simple it was, especially the restroom with shower. The registering was easy, and she was very friendly yet professional. I wish people would write correct reviews instead of finding faults and misguide others with their complaining. After all this place is in the middle of nowhere and only limited with some convenience. We had a wonderful time visiting with needed accesses as camper. We were extremely happy with our visit except the road to tour was rough but that's expected, I guess. Stargazing there was exceptionally great! 

Road trip and camping at the Monument Valley 

We stayed in The View, Valley Rim Premium View cabin, in Monument Valley.  It had an unobstructed view of the valley.  The cabins are situated in such a way that you don't see the other cabins and feel like you are the only ones there enjoying this magnificent scene.  The young lady checking us in was very pleasant and answered all our questions.  The cabin was a king bed with a coffee make, small refrigerator and microwave.  The front deck was perfect for sitting and watching the full moon rise over the valley and the next morning watch the sun illuminate the monuments.  My only regret is that we were only there the one night.  

A not-to-be missed opportunity to experience the Valley

This year my husband and I travelled from west coast to east coast, Niagara Falls to Florida Keys on our bucket list trip.  The whole holiday was organised around the one night I managed to book at this hotel in the PREMIUM CABINS. I had visited Monument Valley over 40 years ago, wasn’t able to stay too long, but I always promised myself I would go back.   I finally made it back, and boy was it worth the wait!   The cabins are right on the rim with a completely uninterrupted view.  I cannot find the words to describe the experience of sitting on the porch just watching the changing light and colours, it defies description, in a good way!  The cabins are deceivingly spacious inside.  Beautifully  comfortable and sparklingly clean.  We left the blinds open all night so as not to miss anything.  In total on our trip we stayed in approximately 30 different hotels across the states.  This cabin is RIGHT AT THE TOP of the list.  Thank  you for everything View Campground x

The highlight of a 7 week bucket list road trip!

We spent one night in the cabins at the View Campground. It was so nice to be able to be immersed in Monument Valley.

The views were stunning. We face east so we got beautiful pictures of the sunrise from our porch. We were hoping to do some stargazing when we were there but unfortunately the clouds in the sky did not cooperate. We were also able to watch some horseback riders which was very nice to see.

The cabin had a porch with a view and two chairs. When you entered the cabin you were in a combination living room, kitchen, dining room area. The living room had a sofa bed. There was a wall of windows overlooking the porch allowing you to see the view from inside. The kitchen had a fridge, microwave, sink and coffee pot. We weren't there to cook so it was not a problem

From the main room you entered a hallway. In the hallway there were built in bunks. The mattresses weren't real thick similar to what you might find on a camper. To the right in the hallway was the bathroom. Due to the lack of water in the area there signs encouraging you to limit your showers to 5 minutes. We complied because water is a real problem. The poor people that live in the valley need to transport there water.

Through the hallway at the back of the cabin had the bedroom. We had a queen bed and plenty of room. There was 5 in our party so the cabin accommodated us quite nicely.

The cabins were so cute and very clean. 

Just a note, you don't check in at the hotel you actually check in down at the campground area. Also, everyone must pay the $8 fee to get on the Navajo reservation regardless if you are staying on site or not.

Also, to our surprise, breakfast was included. You could go to the restaurant area at the hotel and they served a nice continental breakfast and pancakes. We were not expecting this at all.

We would love to stay in these cabins again.

Loved the Cabin - What a Treat!

The cabins at the View are excellent!  One of the best parts of our visit to Monument Valley and the best night's sleep we had on our trip.  All of the cabins look out over the Mittens and Merrick Butte, so you have a front row seat for sunrise or sunset on your own front porch (or from the bed if you have the blinds open).  The cabins are cosy and have a double bed and a smaller room with 2 bunks.  There's a bathroom and a kitchenette as well.  There's not a lot of indoor seating---just a small table with 2 basic chairs, but there are two nice chairs on the front porch.  
Parking is a bit limited, but we were able to park right next to ours.  The front row of cabins will have more of a trek, but they also get a better view.  

Our only complaint was one that we had with Monument Valley in general.  None of the emails we got told us where to check in and nothing was signed well.  We went to the lodge to check in and were told that we had to check in in a completely different location.  A few directional signs or more info in the reservation emails would be helpful.  

Lovely cabin stay with a beautiful view

I reserved a Valley Rim Premium Cabin, not expecting anymore than a place to stay the night.  These cabins are gorgeous!  Extremely clean, nice kitchenette, comfortable bed, and even a small bunk room.  What topped the experience was the view from the room and porch overlooking the monuments.  The stars at night were incredible, and we were able to watch an amazing sunrise from our room and porch.  By far these were the nicest units we stayed at on our Grand Circle Tour.
