I judge a place by the rest I get. These guys do not have any frills but if sleep is what you need, this is the place. I got a little jammed at the joint down the street and made an Olympic effort to get to the lobby. Once there, smooth sailing and out like a light.

I slept well.

Nothing was good. Seriously. When the hotel disclaimer includes, "...a zero tolerance policy towards violence and drug use on property." That speaks volumes. How often do the police visit???
There was nothing good about the staff, building or location. Should've been bulldozed 20 years ago. This is a poorly kept 1950's era motel that has retained ZERO charm and has no redeeming quality. The rooms are atrociously maintained.

The 1960's era A/C DIDN'T WORK.Mildew in bathroom. Sink backed up. Carpet was matted and covered in stains. Pillow cases and towels had yellow stains and cigarette burn marks. Dust covered derelict truck in the covered guest parking area. 
I immediately checked back out and they put me into a "sister" hotel down the street that was equally bad. VERY sketchy business operation.

AVOID!! Bulldoze this building immediately.

The desk is not staffed. Had to call a phone number to get checked in, and I had a reservation. After check in, wifi did not work. Called the desk man again and he said he would fix it or give us another room. That is the last we heard from him. The front office is locked at 3pm and no one is answering the phone number taped to the front door. We have been abandoned.

Also known as the Mountain Valley Inn. I am a coast to coast car traveler who frequents affordable motels and have never experienced anything like the room at Mountain Valley Inn. Only one of the three lamps had a light bulb in it.  The security latch was missing (as if it had been ripped off the door). Even though smoking is not allowed in the room, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The carpet was stained, matted with dirt and frayed. The sheets had stains on them. There was trash under the bed. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom, but there was thick mildew and mold on the shower curtain.  It gets worse...holes in the wall and ceiling tiles peeling. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. This place should not be in business.  Learn from my mistake. Don't waste your hard-earned money here!

Don’t waste your money!

A terrible dump avoid at all costs sleep in the gutter it'll probably be cleaner! Finished up at this rat hole when everything else was booked solid. Straight out of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, no perhaps worse!

It's all been said!

I'd rather pass out and drive off the side of a mountain than stay there again. I considered urinating on the single clean towel so it would match the rest of the towels, the shower curtain, and the sheets. When I stayed here I hadn't the opportunity to shower in a few days because I had been camping. I waited to shower at my next stop because of how disgusting the shower and bathroom was. Thankfully I had my sleeping bag so I didn't have to sleep on those sheets nor rest my head on the splotchy pillows. Some of the things may be forgivable such as the thermostat not working in the slightest, the broken tv, the wifi that didn't work,the walls so thin you can hear your neighbor breath, the broken elevator, the lights that didn't work, the lights that only flickered, the smell. That smell was terrible. Clearly people had been smoking in the rooms and building, but that couldn't have been the only element to that wretched stench. The staircases clearly had been urinated in, maybe people, maybe just animals. Probably both.

Sleep in the car

Waited 15 min to even get checked in. Elevator out of service. Front desk guy gave us keys to the wrong room.
No curtains. No trash cans. No fitted sheets.
Wi-Fi doesnt work. Lights burnt out. Toilet barely flushes. Showers are built for people who are no taller than 4 feet.
No fridge. No safe. No coffee. No breakfast. 
Our bed literally had 2 top sheets on top of the mattress.. F-ing ridiculous .
Should be shut down immediately
