First off, we agree with the fact that the hotel room was clean.  The thing that really got us was that we were told a price on the phone and there were added fees once we got to the hotel.  We were pleasantly surprised by the quote on the phone, and we made sure to give them our details to make sure the quote was correct.  We were even told that my veteran status would get us an additional discount.  Upon arrival to the hotel, though, the employee told us about additional charges based on occupancy (we had told them we would have 3 adults/1 child) and that there was no veterans discount.  
The total charge for the room was still reasonable, but the idea of not honoring a quote on the phone is not.  As for the room itself, it had a huge refrigerator, no closet to hang coats/clothes and opened (empty) shampoo bottles.  For the price, the room (again) wasn't the problem, but if we had known, we might have considered a different option with breakfast (which was a possibility for us at a different hotel).  Just asking that transparency be part of the process in the future.

Watch out for hidden fees...

We weren't expecting the "Four Seasons" but we were quite happy with our short stay.  We were only in town for one night and found this hotel to be very clean, the staff was very nice and prompt with requests.  To top it off, Joey's restaurant is a few steps away and we were very happy with our dining experience.

What a nice surprise!

From the outside, this place looks like nothing special. But the room, and the hallways leading to it were clean bright and updated. The room. Has everything I needed and it all worked perfectly and looked nice as well. It was the lowest price room I could find but I booked it due to the reviews I read which were great. And now I know why.

Nice clean room at a great price

We stayed at the Magnuson hotel for two nights, based on the good reviews.  Our room had clearly been renovated recently - fresh paint and new fixture - and was attractive, clean and comfortable.  Everything worked, including the wi-fi.  Some of the reno had been done on the cheap (they had cut out a section of the molding around the bathroom door to fit the vanity in, and hadn't bothered to fill in the gap between the remaining molding and the fixture.), and you wonder if that's an indication that corners will be cut in the future, but for now, it was fine.  No breakfast, but we weren't expecting any.  Many fast and fast casual chain restaurants around nearby Carrier Circle, but we went down to James Street, about 1.5 miles away, and got takeout from a Chinese place one evening and a Mediterranean place another evening, and both were excellent.  

The only negative was that housekeeping never showed up after our first night.  We had the do-not-disturb sign out for a short time in the morning, but that shouldn't have kept them from cleaning our room.  We returned mid afternoon to find it just as we left it - bed unmade, etc.

Cheap, clean and comfortable!  Good budget hotel!

We booked this hotel in a last minute attempt to have a night sleep before our departure as it is very close to the Syracuse Hancock airport.

Very comfortable and clean!!

Excellent choice for a budget hotel.  Courteous service, clean room, comfortable beds, great shower. An hour after I checked out, I realized I had left my phone in the room and called to ask them to search.  They promptly found it and called us back to let me know. I did not try the internet, so I can't comment.

By the way, the Dunkin Donuts next door was awful.

Exceeded Expectations

Warm reception, clean rooms, good price.   Could not ask for more.  Easy transportation near Thruway at Carrier Circle, next to a Dunkin Donuts and across from a Denny's for a quick breakfast.  Fridge in the room, too.

Perfect economy hotel

I believe this was the old Ramada Limited. I've never stayed here before, but from the inside looks of it this hotel is newly remodeled. Very nice room.
Only downside was the room heater was very loud & my tub floor towel was already wet(SMH??) before I arrived/used it. Hopefully hotel staff will ensure linens are dry before placement. But overall, a good stay.

What a great value for the $

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel.  I was looking for a place to stay overnight while shopping in the Syracuse area.  My room was large, clean and very comfy.  Reception was warm and informative.  Breakfast choices were super and offers waffles!  

Because of a snow storm, I ended up having to stay in the area another night. Oh dear, that meant more shopping (lol!).   I chose to stay here.

New favourite place to stay when in Syracuse

   I booked my stay for Sept. 13 because the price was fantastic in fact my travel buddy said unbelievable. I was keeping my fingers and toes crossed but the room was great. With a ref and microwave plus a washer and dryer near, I could have stayed longer. The breakfast was mediocre (small muffins ,coffee and tea) but I rarely eat as early as I check out.  Check out their newly remodeled rooms.
