I am a well-seasoned traveler and was unsure to book here because of the previous reviews. However, wanting to see the total solar eclipse in Hot Springs left me no choice as everything was sold out or had astronomical pricing. I am thankful we got this gem! The rooms are very large with a mini fridge and microwave. The mattresses are new and super comfortable as are the pillows. Bathrooms also are redone. The room is spotless: no dust, no dirt, no bugs. The family owners are most accommodating and helpful. The old reviews and pictures from years ago should be taken down. This is also not a “sketchy” neighborhood. (I’m  a 70 year old woman traveling with a friend. I would not be here if it was unsafe.) We booked a second night because we are so pleased. AND you can’t beat the price!

Excellent Value and Stay

Door had a big gap letting in light and hot air did not seem secure. Blankets had visible filth on them and burn holes. Hearts drawn on furniture in a pink sticky substance. Room smelled of cigarettes I asked for non smoking. Smoke detectors were beeping. Room was hot ac not cold air. Only one set of towels on a double room and they were small and thin. Never saw a pool. Area seemed sketchy and unsafe. Had to point out issues to manger but he did finally give refund.

Gross not worth what they are charging

Said were remodeling but roaches the size of small mouse is insane! Affordable, friendly but rooms really took it down.
Good location though seemed sketchy at 1st, Quiet location also. Won't make same mistake again but was good in a pinch.

Nasty with roaches

I have stayed at other Economy Inn around the US. So when I saw one in Hot Springs, AR - I thought why not - Well what a mistake - I get there and the reservation clerk hardly spoke English - I checked in and she did not even know what rooms to give me. Finally we got to the rooms and they were dated, no pictures on the walls, no hangers, the dresser was broken and the cover on the bed stunk. But we were really tired and stayed there. We went out on Saturday night and when we came back later in the evening - we found out that they had changed the locks and we had to swap out our keys for key cards.  On my way home on Sunday, my hands did not feel right. Monday Morning went to the hospital with welts on my hands. The doctor advised me that they were caused by bed bugs

Never Again - Issue with Bed Bugs

I booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room, they change it but I had to give them to much explanation about something that they should be aware (smoke odor). Breakfast was included but, at 8:30 AM was all clean (no breakfast at all). Never will stay in this hotel again!

One night was too much

We were on a 1400 mile scenic road cruze thru Arkansas & S.Mo that included Hot Springs without reservations.  Upon arrival we learned the Ark Derby was happening that weekend and most places were booked solid.
We felt fortunate to find a room for the evening, unfortunately the facility is not well maintained, but filled our basic needs for the night and the price was right...

Better n' nuthin'... .. .oo

First off, I totally understand that you get what you pay for when it comes to a hotel. However, this was the worst place i've ever stayed in.  There was no carpet, no telephone, no iron.  There was a smashed dead cockroach on the lamp next to my bed.  Since we arrived before one of our friends we had her bring all her sheets, pillows, and comforters.  There were dark liquid stains on the box springs of the beds.  The smell was horrible.  During the day while we were there we just left the door open b/c the smell was so bad.  There were only two outlets in the entire room. One outlet had the mini fridge and microwave plugged in and they other had the tv plugged in.  There was one in the bathroom halfway up the wall and above the toilet.  The walls are also paper thin.  We didn't have a smoking room, but i'm pretty sure we were next to one.  You could smell cigarette smoke seeping through the walls every now and then.  I urge you to spend an extra $20 a night and go somewhere else.
