Fantastic guesthouse, close to centre and lake, lovely hosts, Sam and Steve go that extra mile. Rooms are lovely, modern and clean, hand soaps, shampoo and shower gels provided are sourced from a local shop in Bowness which is a nice touch. Towels changed daily. I recommend room 2 it’s the largest room that overlooks the lake. Car park is located at rear of guesthouse. Breakfast was lovely, lovely fruit and yogurts, cooked breakfast, plenty of toast, tea and coffee.

Perfect Birthday getaway

Stayed for the bank holiday weekend.guesthouse is in a great location near all bars and restaurants.owners are lovely and friendly.nice and clean cleaned daily towels changed each day .nice view from room.carpark free near guest house.breakfast nice each morning yoghurts juice cereal and cooked breakfast to your preference.small and nice only a few rooms . 

Nice guest house 

We stayed at the Hazeldene for a couple of nights. 
The hosts, Sam and Steve, are very welcoming and offer their knowledge of the area. 
The location is perfect to access the lake, bars and shops, and the guest house provides a lovely breakfast and car parking facilities. 
We stayed in Room 5, which is a small double en-suite but we knew this at the time of booking as being so popular was already full. But, it has all essential facilities including iron, hairdryer, fan and toiletries.
We had fantastic weather, and enjoyed the lake cruises, and we’re looking forward to coming back to see more of Bowness and do some walking.

Lovely couple of nights away

We stayed at the Hazeldene Guest house from the 25th July -30th July and it couldn’t have been more perfect! It was a 2 minute walk away from all the bars, restaurants and shops in Bowness and a 5 minute walk to lake Windermere. On arrival we were greeted by Samantha who showed us to our room, we stayed in room 2 which had a perfect view of the lake. We had tea and coffee and fresh water and was offered fresh milk when we arrived, the refreshments were replenished everyday whilst we were out. Breakfast was lovely, you had the choice between fresh fruit, cereal, yogurts and then a cooked breakfast of your choice, Samantha was very attentive, always asking if we wanted more tea or toast. Would definitely return on our next visit to the Lakes!

Perfect getaway for couples

This will be are 4th time at the Hazeldene Guest House sam and ste who run the  b b are really lovely people  ❤ the Guest House is lovely and very clean the bedroom are spotless the breakfast is 10 out of 10 thanks to ste. Have booked again for the new year 2022. Can't wait x

Celebrate new year ✨  2022

We stayed for 2 nights for my birthday weekend. Although arriving earlier than the regular check in time, our room was ready. Room 4, on the top floor with 3 other rooms,  looked out of the back towards the lake. Unfortunately, it was foggy on the lake all weekend, so we  never saw it from there! Maybe next time! Free parking at the back down a slope. A nice cosy room, usual facilities, also a bottle of water available and the owner,  Steve, brought some fresh milk. Comfortable bed, nice shower, warm room. Steve is very attentive, we didn't get to meet Sam as she was away. Breakfast was excellent, cereals, yoghurt and fruit, and a lovely full English with tasty coffee. A real good find which is very well placed for town centre and to windermere. We will be back,  thanks, Frank and Sandra. 

Excellent stay

Great friendly hosts, in a great location with many shops, restaurants and bars a short stroll away. Lake Windermere only a 5 minute walk away and Windermere centre is 10 minutes in the other direction. Great views of the lake and surrounding area from our window . Breakfast is very nice and you won't be disappointed. There is free private parking at the rear of the property.   We will definitely stay here again. 

A great place to stay 

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in this lovely guesthouse. We picked it after seeing online reviews and we certainly were not disappointed. Absolutely immaculate accommodation and the hosts are so welcoming, can’t do enough for you. Will definitely visit again

Absolute Gem

Just back from a short “Covid” break at Bowness in the lakes , we use Booking.com and look for value and reputation when selecting a hotel or guesthouse . The Hazeldene had both in abundance. We booked bed and breakfast , the bed was very comfy and the breakfast was comprehensive anything you wanted , nothing was too trouble. The room was quite small but spotless and very comfortable and the bathroom was quite modern and practicable. The price also included safe free parking on a private plot behind the guesthouse. The only drawback was the steep stairs in the house , which could be an issue with an older couple but this is stated on the website, we will definitely return.

Fantastic little guest house with fantastic hosts.
We were in the lakes for my partners birthday and i requested a bottle of prosecco to greet us on arrival to celebrate which was done perfectly and was a wonderful surprise for my partner - Thank you for this it set us up for a lovely stay.
The room was lovely, very comfy, spacious, big comfy bed plenty of storage as well as refreshments including fresh milk for a coffee and a daily bottle of fresh water, we also liked the little additions in the bathroom too and the 'in or out' board as well as the daily what's on board.
Steve and Samantha were wonderful hosts who were helpful when needed and left the guest to go about their business, the free parking was welcomed too especially in the area around the house.
We have already said we will stay here again if we come up in the future.
