Stayed here for one night, arranged at the last minute. The b and b was very clean and stylish in a way that reflects the Hosts Kenyan roots and warm personality. David was very welcoming and, while not overdoing it, was attentive and friendly. For example, he made us tea and coffee while we were sat in his garden in the evening. I would happily recommend Chestnut House to friends and family.

Lovely b and b and an excellent host

We have stayed several times at Chestnut House B & B.  It’s truly a home from home - kind of place.  David is a kind, helpful host.  The rooms are clean & comfortable & spacious, with large en suites.  The avenue that David has his home/B & B on, is quiet and peaceful.  We love it there!!  David is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble.  No worries about parking & the center of town is just a 10 minute walk.  Highly recommended.

Hidden Gem

We were attending a concert in Tiverton and needed overnight accommodation.
Chestnut House is a lovely clean and comfortable B&B of the highest quality and at a reasonable price.
Very friendly welcome from the host, David Sutton, the room, number 3, was spacious, and well appointed, with nice touches in the en-suite.
Fresh milk, kept in a small fridge on the landing for your complimentary tea or coffee, front door key provided so you can come and go, off road parking, comfy bed and a superb freshly cooked breakfast.

A lovely overnighter

2nd sep Myself and college Came down from Merthyr Tydfil stopped the night with work well what an awesome guy lovely home big room super clean so friendly absolutely stunning house breakfast was amazing probably the best I’ve ever had in all fairness David a++++++ well done would love to stay here again such a nice guy could not do enough this review was the least i could do attention to detail hope to stay here again 100% satisfied is a understatement 

Stayed one night working down here a+

Stayed just 1 night but after a long drive fantastic room, very big, lovely large bathroom and host does everything to make you welcome, plenty of tea coffee and biscuits.Loads of parking and very quiet location. Don't think you will find a better breakfast and something for everyone. THANKS

Lovely place to stay great host

I spent one night at Chestnut House on an extended walking trip.  The B&B is just a short walk to many shops and restaurants. The owner was welcoming, helpful and very pleasant.  I stayed in a large, well appointed, quiet and comfortable room.  Breakfast next morning was very good. This is very good value and I would have happily stayed several nights if my schedule had allowed.  Recommend without reservation.

A Very Pleasant Stay

A first visit for us for a three night stay.David catered well for late arrivals without fuss. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. The breakfast was plentiful, varied and very tasty. Although it didn't affect us personally, David went out of his way to cater for specific dietary needs (coeliac etc). We have stayed in several places in the area while visiting family and this is one we will definitely be using again.

A wonderful three night stay. First but not last time.

Selfishly, we hope that not too many people find this B&B, because it might be fully booked the next time we visit Tiverton, this would mean that we would not be able to stay there ourselves, as it must be one of the very best in that town. David our host was both very welcoming and attentive when we arrived and our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Also breakfast was delicious with a good choice on the menu. On returning to Tiverton, we would definitely stay over at Chestnut House.
