Avoid ...the room was shabby and cold, shower broken,dirty floors, dirty walls, your only allowed £15pp for breakfast anything over you have to pay! What a joke this place is ! 
I complained but were not really interested. 
The bed was comfortable thank god!

Shabby rooms.

this is a review of the furnace cafe which goes with the food centre.
ordered bacon sandwich and a drink.  the sandwich arrived first with no cutlery.  
the "bacon" was warm ham between two slices of cold bread
when i went to pay there were flies around the till which was near to the kitchen

the furnace cafe - really bad - AVOID!!

Unfortunately the disappointing bad points about the accommodation spoilt our stay. On departure I explained to the management that we had loved the food and staff but that the room was a let down.
The good bits;- the staff were wonderful, a warm welcome, smiley, happy, clearly a great team. The food in the restaurant was excellent, likewise in the cafe where we took breakfast. There is a well equipped farm shop and fresh milk for our tea and coffee were given to us.
The bad bits;- No internet connection in the rooms as advertised, and other guests said the same. The headboards had very unpleasant stains on them. The valance were dirty. There was a chest of drawers, but the hanging space was a row of coat hooks with a jumble of miss matched hangers. The welcome A4 sheet of paper in the room was a crumpled mess. We stayed for B&B for two nights at a cost of £286….this room was NOT worth that money.

Disappointing room!

This is the worst experience in a cafe we have ever had! It was a quiet day. Took over 30mins to come take our order, an hour by the time our drinks arrived ( a tea and a pint) and a further 20 minutes for the "food". The servers had no smiles or politeness. The food was overpriced, cold, poorly presented and pretty much inedible. We sent ours back not wanting them to send another as many other tables did the same. The ploughmas was 3 slices of non buttered bread a slither of ham and processed cheese & two layers of just rocket leaves. No salt for any table. Cutlery and cups were dirty. Staff rude. So to sum it up, terrible chef, terrible food, terrible staff and well overpriced! Go to the lavender Gardens cafe just before the farm shop. Lovely place with nice atmosphere (plus a devine ice cream shop).

Two small coffees and  two pieces of unpleasant , synthetic tasting Victoria sponge, £14!
At a food centre I expect a range of homemade cakes. Will not return there are  far nicer and cheaper cafes around. Very disappointed.

Overpriced cafe!

We visited the cafe and ordered 2 coffees and a Diet Coke. 2 scones and cream and a slice of cake. £24.00!!! The coffee (Latte) came in cups the size of a thimble. Total rip off for what we received. Will not be returning. I did ask if I’d broken something 😂

Overpriced

I went with my friend to have tea at the Furnace cafe.
First of all they’ve  put a fence round the courtyard so no one knew how to get in what a shane!
Anyway we ordered 2 coffees that cane in the smallest cups imaginable £3.75 each a complete rip off. Then we shared a tiny scone £5 another rip off and a small bottle of lemonade  £2 one more rip off. £14  in all never will I fall for that again. I can go elsewhere to get a scone and drink for half the price.
I hope the public will learn from this .

Bodnant furnace cafe

Furnace cafe could be so nice if the staff could only smile, make better food, be more efficient, clean tables…. We stopped in for a light meal on the way to bodnant and we’re really dissatisfied with every aspect of our experience, seated without a smile, order taken slowly, food arrived without cutlery, Luke warm, toast barely buttered, hair in food and before the drinks, when they eventually arrived no sugar after specifically asking for it… coffee was ok but barely a mouth full! No please no thank you no question of was everything okay when I got to the till after asking for a bill and waiting and waiting a waiting…. We spent the extra time watching how the staff deliver a tray of food and wander back to the kitchen without clearing a table! Considering there were only about 10 people to serve they should be much much better than that!

Terrible service, poor food, small coffee!

Ate at furnace cafe. Notices said please wait here and someone will attend to seat you. No one ever came. Long wait to be served.  Food uninspiring. Tea poor.
Tried the farm shop. Again very disappointing. Very overpriced. Lots of things available anywhere else, bread rolls looked basic supermarket fare, with Bodnant label stuck on. Man behind counter pleasant. This is very well signed. Does not live up to its signage.

Disappointing centre

Lovely location overlooking the river and 15 mins drive from the coast. The staff were friendly. The room was small but really comfortable and clean. Very quiet and private. Nice shower. Plenty of places to eat and the breakfast was excellent in a lovely old building.
