What was good

The location is the best thing about this motel

What was bad

The bed had an interior sprung mattress, I know because I felt everyone of them, the mattress has seen better days, the room had a strange smell (perhaps damp) The room is so small (for a twin bed room) the night we stayed was the coldest night of the year so far,and we needed the heating on,but it was controlled by a timer (not able to turn on) the corridor was heated, and during our stay we propped the door open to get the heat into our room. The cleaning needs to improve ,dust floating in the room ,dirt on the skirting boards( behind the radiators) Tiles missing in the shower room, Service is really non existent,we were left to get on with it, The car park is a joke ,just a space behind the motel which is shared with the other shops and traders (£5 charge for car park, this should be free) When we checked out the staff were nowhere to be seen, had no idea what to do with the key, at £80 per room per night I think this motel is way over priced. during our overnight stay we were the only guests, I think I now know why.
