We stayed at the Meadows in April 2017 for one night whilst riding the off road Capital Trail MTB route. The Meadows is sited a short distance from the village centre with its shops, restaurants and a pub. We were able to store our bikes in the garage. The accommodation was excellent as was the breakfast which we needed to pedal over the Pentlands the following day.

I stayed there in the beginning of September but I just have a chance to make a comment on it, so I owe them a nice comment. By the way I'd like to say merry Xmas to Margaret and her lovely family! I have been hosted for five days and she prepared me a very delicious breakfast. She offered me to drive to Aberdeen indeed but due to heavy weather condition we just decided to get to the countryside of Edinburgh. We also had very friendly talks about daily life, family, politics etc. Everything was perfect, the house is very clean, the family is warm-hearted, breakfast is nice. I stayed in the room with a private bathroom. Public transportation to the city center is not widespread but it is OK.

Spent one night here very good the place was very clean and the owners were extremely cordial and welcoming.Breakfast was excellent and we were made very welcome ensuite was very clean and plenty of toiletries

The meadows

We arrived late in the evening after a long drive from Hertfordshire, and were welcomed with open arms by the bubbly owner who was a very interesting person as well as incredibly kind.

The twin bedroom in which we stayed had wonderful bedding with extremely comfortable beds. The Wi-Fi connection was very strong and could be received from the bedroom, but there were very few plug sockets that were accessible. However, furnishings and artwork were incredible. 
The shower was not brilliant, but it was usable, though the rest of the bathroom was very good.

The next morning, a hot breakfast was made for us that tasted incredible, along with cereal. We were given a choice of bread got the toaster.

To summarise, I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to go into Edinburgh.

(Also, the owner has a dog who is very friendly)

Lovely location, incredible service

Lovely little bed and breakfast run by a lovely couple I came here on business and had a lot of bags and every night when I came in from work the lady had the door open for me and helped me with my bags. Breakfast cooked every morning of your choice which was very nice!
