This is the perfect bed and breakfast, lovely friendly hosts, clean rooms, the best breakfasts, great location. A real gem. Close to the beach, lovely walks. Everything on your doorstep. Cannot recommend enough.

Lovely friendly, honest & caring hosts, excellent breakfast, clean rooms.
Close to the beach, nearby a nice pub with nice choice of drinks & food, close to some fun activities. Also near to lovely coastal walk to Paignton town centre.

Bank holiday weekend fun.

What a wonderful place to stay.  Sarah and Paul are great hosts and made us feel so welcome that we were sad to leave.  The accommodation is spotless and our newly decorated twin room was fresh and comfortable.    We enjoyed watching the free range hens from our window, knowing we’d enjoy their eggs every morning as part of a full English breakfast (cooked to perfection, thank you).  We are environmentally conscious and valued the glass bottle of water in our room and the choice to not change our towels daily.  We loved our stay, thanks so much to you both.  Tracy and Deb

Exceptional

Friendly, clean and tidy.Decorated lovely with clean towels etc in the room.A lovely cooked breakfast in the morning with local products and there own eggs.The local  beach is a few minutes away and to the pier and main town alis a  10 min walk..

Fantastic place to stay

Great B & B, lovely location in Goodrington Sands, just over the hill from Paignton, very peaceful. Lovely hosts, they are currently updating the property, so some areas look a bit tired, overall a great stay and a great breakfast,. I will definitely go back in a couple of years to see what they have done.

Lovely Location in Paignton

I don't normally give bad reviews but I feel the need to express my feelingsabout this place.we have just returned from rowcroft Lodge after spending only 1 night there. We had booked for 4 but couldn't stay any longer for the following reasons...when we first walked into the room we thought OMG this is terrible.it was more like a store room than a bedroom it was a very dark and depressing room.with paper peeling off the walls in places,dirty,damp and smelly,with very cold ceramic floor tiles.we had to keep the light on as it was so dark in there
When we booked we were told that there was one dog "Friendly"  room available.we have two well behaved shih tzus who are very clean and house trained.it is not dog friendly it is dog accommodating at best.no friendliness involved! There was nowhere to prepare their food a small table might have helped.
We were told there tea making facilities.yes there was a travel kettle two mugs two spoons 1 tea bag 4 uht milk and no sugar.its a good job we took our own! There's a single wardrobe and a chest of drawers.for clothing but no shelving for toiletries there is a cupboard in the bathroom but even that is damp.the shower has got mould and had "curly hairs" in there.lots of dirt in loads of places.the toilet pan was very dirty and stained.the lady who owns the place said the cleaner had just left...well if there is a cleaner she shouldn't be paid she doesn't seem to be doing anything to earn her money.
We only stayed 1 night even though we booked and paid for 4 .we didn't even want to stay for breakfast as we just wanted to leave.when we told them we were leaving all I got was a smirk and a oh OK.not even an apology or an offer of a refund.we have read the reviews and there are some good reviews but they are all for the non dog friendly rooms but if you have dogs I feel we are treated like second class citizens.i think the only reason this room is classed as dog accommodating is because you couldn't get anyone else to stay in there

Depressing

Great little guest house, very clean & the hosts very friendly.
Great spot for all the family, and exploring further afield. 
Good value for money. Good communication. 
There were dogs present, but were no bother as the establishment rules kept them to certain areas, so was no problem. Was originally a bit apprehensive at first, especially as we are ‘cat’ people! Good spot if you have a pooch…..

New proprietors, so are getting to grips with the slightly dated decor etc. But still a great experience, would happily come back again. 

We do not generally frequent modern internationals, and appreciate the personnel touch.

Listing on Tripadvisor is a bit out of date, no longer a bar, (there is a family friendly one only a short walk away). New proprietor. Good luck with your new business adventure.

Clean & Friendly

Stayed for a week and had a great holiday. Great location just two minutes from the beach and a nice little bar. Parking is a bit tight but we soon got a space and as the car wasn't going to be used all holiday we didn't have to worry about parking again. Our room was at the very top and was a nice size. Quite a bit of dust and a few cobwebs and the plug in the shower was full of the previous guests hair. Breakfast was very nice. But social distancing was impossible. You pick a time slot but you simply can't do it if you only allow a short time for breakfast. 8.00 till 9.00. There's bound to be overlaps. We were in with three other couples. All in one area. Allow two hours for breakfast at least to do this. It's no good saying that it's our fault for picking a busy time. Why should we get up early when we are on holiday. I would think most guests would pick the later option. Overall we had a nice time. Staff were really friendly. Just the breakfast times need addressing along with more thorough cleaning.

This is a brilliant place to stay  Chris and Luke are a great team  the breakfast is perfect   the service is the very best  amazing value fantastic location lots of walks on South West costal path  30 mins from dartmoor  view from room of park and sea
