I used to live in the town and occasionally visit friends the hind has been the consistent place to stay while I come here the rooms have been updated since my last visit and they are beautiful very clean and comfortable I had a room at the back end of the hotel so I knew i would get a good night's sleep I was woken up at 8.30 am by an alarm probably caused by a guest opening an alarmed exit but I did get back to sleep again thank you for a lovely stay in a town I have the fondest memories of 

I had a great stay, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, very clean. The building is very old & steeped in history so no elevator but the place has lots of character :)
The staff are lovely & they really made my stay the best, so helpful & friendly!

We had a function last Saturday in one of the function rooms and had a buffet. The buffet was delicious! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more. Quite a few of us stayed in the hotel and the rooms were spotless and the bed was so comfy. If you’re looking to stay in Wellingborough / Northants, this is definitely the place to stay!

What a wonderful hotel! Steeped in history and lwondrrfully reminiscent of classic old hotels. Yes it's a bit creaky underfoot but the sweeping staircases, generous sized bedrooms, huge bathrooms with separate bath shower leave you unexpectedly spoiled.   Would definitely stay again.

A very friendly welcome and the room looked amazing, bed very comfortable and a brilliant feature of a bath in the room as well a s a spacious bathroom. Bar and restaurant attached to hotel great food reasonable prices and staff new what real ale should be

Stayed here for a friends birthday party for one night , I booked a courtyard room as have mobility issues, the room was about twenty steps from the car .

The staff were friendly and helpful , the room was very comfortable and spacious with a large walk in shower ,  the bar was well stocked and plenty of staff to serve .

Things to note if have mobility issues the main bedrooms have stairs , some rooms on second floor , the car park only has spaces for six cars and the doors to the courtyard are closed at night  ( closed at 7.30pm) , there is plenty of on street free parking nearby and a free car council car park.

On the night we stayed there was a disco in the public bar until 12pm ,  but there was an area  with comfy chairs at the back of hotel  away from the disco if wanted a quiet drink.

The high street is outside the front of the hotel and a few cafes nearby

I stayed in the hotel Christmas eve and Christmas night. Had I room in the court yard which was very spacious and immaculate a tad warm but soon rectified. The hotel staff were so professional and caring. With 110 Christmas dinner's to sort they still managed to fit me in of which was far too much to eat. I've stayed in a large amounts of hotels in my time but this one will be one to remember, I cannot praise the team of staff the hotel employees. Thank you so so much for my wonderful stay .A special Christmas to remember. ❤

I had the pleasure of visiting this quaint hotel, even though it’s still in the middle of being refurbished the service was excellent. Sophie made sure of that. Stuart provided excellent & piping hot food. If anything was needed he was glad to provide. The potions where generous. I definitely would stay/visit again. It’s in a great location of Wellingborough town centre.

We were well received by friendly staff on our arrival. The bar downstairs was great and had a little disco going which attracted guests and locals alike. They were understaffed when we were there but the resourcefulness of the staff made us forget that fact. The hotel is clean and comfortable with modern interiors in the rooms but you can tell the age of the hotel by quirks such as the staircase, narrow corridors and courtyard which is pleasant for those that like that sort of thing (such as myself).

Overall, a decent 3 star hotel which won't break the bank and is a good base for a stay in Wellingborough.

Spent two nights here with my partner as he was in a pool competition. My first impressions were "oh dear" but we got to our room in the Cromwell suite corridor and I was surprised at the modern room. It was lovely and clean, compact but it suited our needs. The Hotel is steeped in history and is full of character. As it was Halloween the manager gave us a tour of the historical rooms where Cromwell and his Officers had their meetings. We went inside the priest hole in that room which has a hidden door in the wooden clad wall. She also told us the stories of the many ghosts said to roam the corridors. All of the staff were amazing and a credit to the Hotel. The Hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishment, please keep the creaky floorboards!! Would love to revisit when the renovations are completed. Highly recommend a stay here but if you want a boutique hotel then this won't be for you!!! Absolutely perfect for what I needed!

A very convenient location, lovely room, nice breakfast and is being cosmetically updated. Fabulously helpful receptionist who helped me when I couldn't find the car park

A short stay with work

Room was clean. Modern bathroom. Comfortable bed. Creaky floors due to the age of the building.

Although my first impression of the hotel was that it was rather 'tired', this was misleading. My single room was generously sized and furnished to a high standard. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. Toiletries provided in shower room smelled great too.
The quality of food at both breakfast and dinner was really great. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. 
Bit noisy on Saturday night, as there was a live band performing, but apart from that I slept really well.

July Wedding Weekend stay at The Hind.

Stayed at The Hind with some friends on a cycling trip. The staff were welcoming and let us store our bikes in an empty ground floor room. While the hotel itself is a little tired, it is a magnificent building with some lovely old features. Our twin rooms were great with everything we needed. For our purposes it was great.

A good stay

Staff were  friendly, bar open all the time. Rooms were spotlessly clean, with plenty of amenities including shower gel shampoo and conditioner.  The building is old, so the corridors are small, and the floors are wonky.   So not suitable for people with walking difficulties, as there is not a lift.   
Buffet style breakfast at the weekend, order what you'd like cooked during the week.  I wouldn't advise using their card park as it is so tight.  There are plenty of free parking places around the hotel.

Centrally located.

Room mostly clean, however lots of cob webs and needs a good dusting.Radiator heat was poor but an electric heater was already in the room and warmed it up nicely.  Bedding was fresh and clean as were bathroom towels.Breakfast was ok, ate out both evening at the excellent Lounge opposite.Feels like a place running on fumes until it fails, which is unfortunate because it could be much more if investment was available.Was awoken on both nights at midnight by the fire alarm.Staff were friendly and trying their best.Very much a contractors hotel in my eyes.

Hotel is great for the architecture being it's an old coach house with history .
Staff very friendly. 

Hotel looks sad .very tired .worn out carpets .broken windows covered with old boxes 📦 cardboard instead of glass . Old cigarette buts left in the entrance area as you walk in .

Bathroom clean but borderline .
Toilet seat didn't fit the pan and was wonky.
Very odd smell in the bathroom which wasn't plesent. 
Breakfast wasn't good at all 
Came out cold .the sausage was hard and tasteless 
We had to ask for toast 
Very strange not having a toaster which you can help yourself to .
Had to ask for a croissant which again came out from the kitchen after the breakfast ..
Orange and Apple juice was poor quality ..very very sweet /almost like a suger drink. 
Wall Panals buy the tables were breaseblock and brick base some only half cleaned .the base /bricks where we sat was covered in old wrappers and looked like it had not been cleaned for years .
Think maybe they need to tidy this up as not nice for people staying there .

As I said with the box cardboard covering broken windows the poor state of the carpets and especially the stair ones .and the poor decor in the dinning room .
It's a hotel needing a lot of love and attention. a good clean and the decor being put right .
Shame thease lovely homes get neglected.
