Sally and her family were very accommodating. As a couple with a two year old daughter there was plenty of toy tractors, swings to play on. Feeding the animals was an option one morning and Sally was happy let us join her feeding the animals in the morning.

A very enjoyable family holiday

Well all I can say is thank you for an absolutely amazing stay. 
From start to finish all our needs were met. Great communication when booking this break as I had lots of queries, I was replied to promptly and all my questions were answered. 
The accommodation was outstanding, beautifully presented, well equipped and cosy. Perfect piece of country heaven. 
We were encouraged and supported to be totally and fully involved in the lambing experience, it exceeded our expectations. Amazing memories were made. 
sally & Dave were so patient and were fantastic hosts. 

I would highly recommend a visit and we will be returning.

Amazing break away

Just returned home from 3 nights away at Millmoor Farm.
Accommodation was The Corn Store, a beautiful, self catering, 2 bedroom cottage, spotlessly clean with a lovely wetroom and kitchen. 
We could  not have been made more welcome by Sally and Dave, who own and run the farm. Sally will make up breakfast packs if given a few days notice.
From the start we were encouraged to get fully involved with watching the ewes when they were lambing, we saw lots of them being born; my friend even got to deliver a few lambs! We helped with feeds and bringing straw and hay to the sheep and goats and were always made to feel very welcome and a part of the team.
As midwives, we had lots of questions about the lambing process and Dave was more than happy to share his vast experience and knowledge with us.
There are lovely pubs and restaurants within a few minutes drive, and we had sunday lunch out at a lovely pub, The Lion at Malpas. Otherwise we cooked for ourselves, everything we needed was in the well designed kitchen, and our cottage was very close to the lambing shed, so we could run over and see what was happening.
There is a playground for children, and lots of little cars and tractors for them to drive around. I believe they are planning to open a petting corner soon too.
All in all, a fabulous experience, and we've already booked to go back next year.

Lambing weekend

Another wonderful short break at the farm. Cottage was clean and tidy with logs supplied for the fire. Sally-Ann and Dave were welcoming and friendly with a great knowledge of the local area. Can’t recommend this place enough, it was such a relaxing break after a hectic Christmas.

Friendly, welcoming and amazing.

We booked 3 cottages on Millmoor Farm to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The accommodation was really great! Clean and fully equipped cottages in such a beautiful setting. It was exciting to be staying on a working farm and the toddlers with us enjoyed seeing all the animals, especially the pigs. We had a great walk out from the farm and enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside. A perfect base to relax in and explore from.  I would thoroughly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again soon. Thank you to Sally and all.

Family holiday

I stayed in the Miller's House for 12 days in December.  Absolutely loved the peace and quiet, the country walks, the fresh air and views.  The log fire late afternoon and evenings with a glass of red overlooking the fields and farm was so relaxing.  Then, to top it off, had the most amazing night sleeps as the the bed was so comfortable!  My only regret was that I didn't extend my stay.
Will happily return to this house.  It's got the best views, its own garden and is very private.

Millers House Cottage Farm Stay

First time visit to Cheshire and this was a great place to stay. We stayed in the corn store which is a one level property so was perfect for our 2 year old. The decor was lovely and on arrival there were mince pies and mulled wine awaiting us. All the amenities were great and all cutlery etc and bed linens and towels were clean and accessible. The farm itself has cows, goat, sheep that are visible and our son enjoyed seeing them during our stay. The owner greeted us on arrival and was very helpful and friendly, we didn’t need to ask fo anything during our stay but if we had I’m sure she would have obliged! 
We used this as a base to visit the lanterns at Chester zoo, the ice cream farm and to go in to Chester. All within a 30 minute drive!
We will definitely visit again in the future :)

The corn store

We had an amazing weekend full experiences on the farm and a beautiful comfy clean cottage that’s was great for our family weekend away . Sally is friendly and will help anyway can. It’s great for young old families and couples. Lovely views peaceful and relaxing and only 30 mins for town and zoo .  Will definitely be back and would highly recommend . Thankyou for a great family weekend

Yet anpther excellent stay

We spent three nights in the Dairyman's Cottage and had a lovely stay. There was a delicious lemon cake awaiting us and some milk in the fridge. It was great to stay on a working farm, especially as we got to see the arrival of twin lambs one morning. The hosts were very welcoming and the children played quite willingly with our three-year old son. The mini tractors and other vehicles were also a hit.
