A group of us stayed at Timberstone to celebrate reaching a milestone birthday.
We were blessed with glorious weather, but I can imagine that even if it was not so sunny, the size of the house would make it an easy space to spend time in.
All our bedrooms had either an en-suite or a private bathroom. All were nicely decorated and very comfortable.
Three lounges plus a conservatory meant there was ample room to chat and relax and all were tastefully furnished.
We loved the fact that the dining area also had a second fridge and dish washer. So handy when there’s a large group. 
The main kitchen was very well equipped and a lovely welcome pack was a much appreciated gift.
Communication with the owners was excellent throughout the booking process and they were very responsive to any requests we made.
I can imagine this would be an excellent place for a couple of families to rent together as it allows you to come together, yet also have a degree of separation if desired.
I must add that the Wi-Fi is patchy at best but it wasn’t a huge problem for us.
I would thoroughly recommend Timberstone for anyone wanting to holiday in the Ludlow area.

Fabulous Cottage For Larger Groups

We visited here as a hen party and rented the whole venue. Really loved the venue and pleased with the service from the owners. Plenty of space and parking, and all rooms are super comfy. It’s kitted out really well in terms of toiletries and kitchenware. I’d say that it’s even nicer in person than the pictures show, but my only negative would be the cleaning around the ceilings could be better (especially in summer spider/fly season!). I would agree with other comments that the wifi isn’t great but it didn’t matter much for our group.

Fantastic for a group

Stayed for 2 nights prior to Christmas in the retreat. Nice set up for a good relaxing stay. Your able to use the main house also, where you have breakfast and is a lounge you can use for Wi-Fi as no Wi-Fi in the retreat. Really good breakfast. Hot tub is a bonus. Maybe for the price, it should be a proper hot tub (is a lay-z-spa inflatable one). Would highly recommend the stay though.

Loved the Retreat

We visited the retreat last month and has such an amazing time! From the moment we arrived to leaving timberstone we were made to feel so relaxed. The hosts are lovely and clearly care about their guests. We took our dogs with us and they had enough area outside with it all being enclosed too. The accommodation was so clean and we felt so relaxed being there. thank you!

Excellent stay

We were looking for a couple of days away. We chose Timberstone because of its excellent location in the countryside and its proximity to Ludlow. We were welcomed by Alex and Tracey in the most wonderful manner. On arrival we were offered coffee and biscuits. We were given a beautiful comfortable room overllooking the surrounding countryside. Tracey offered us dinner and we decided that it would be a good idea to stay and have our meal. We were delighted to have made that choice. Originally we were going to have just the main course but ended up having the full 3 courses because it was so delicious. We spent a lovely couple of days and everything was perfect. Thank you to Tracey and Alex for making our stay so enjoyable.

A lovely stay

I was looking for somewhere quiet to retreat to while in Ludlow for an evening with business. As I live in a busy town its always nice to stay somwhere peaceful when I can. The hosts were happy to have me arrive a little early and I was made to feel very welcome when I arrived.

Its a beautiful building with lovely views and really is in a peaceful spot. The room was nice with a bathtub and a shower and when I got back in the evening the place was lit by an almost fool moon - fantastic! I'm not a great sleeper but found the bed comfortable and got a really good nights sleep and in the morning had absolutely delicious Eggs Benedict for breakfast before I reluctantly had to leave.

In short: beautiful quiet spot, charming hosts, beautiful building and rooms, delicious breakfast. I'm looking forward to returning for a few days with my bike to tackle some of the rolling hills! Highly recommended.

Really lovely stay

I cannot say enough about the welcoming and comforting stay we had here for a week in Timberstone.  Alex and Tracy could not do enough to make us welcome and relaxed.  One could walk the Shopshire hills from the doorway, and could be in Ludlow within a short drive.  Since we did not have a car, arrangements could easily be made to get around.  The room was comfortable and historic, the food was excellent and the hosts were incredible.

Lovely, Welcoming and Accommodating Stay

Just returned from staying overnight at the lovely Timberstone.
On arrival we were greeted by Tracy & later by Alex, we were taken around the guest areas of the house & how to contact them if required.
We were then shown The Retreat were we stayed, first impressions were wonderful peaceful & it was nestled away at the end of the garden, perfect for what we wanted & to top it off a brand new Jacuzzi on the decking outside our little haven.
We also were given the option to have our breakfast in The Retreat the next morning which was delivered to us exactly the time we agreed the night before.
We would like to thank our hosts again & would highly recommend this guest house & will return another day.

Weekend Away

What a fantastic place with amazing friendly accommodating owners. Lots of space for a fantastic birthday celebration. Enough from for all 12 of us. Great tree house for the kids to play in. The rooms were all amazing, spacious and clean and with personal bath rooms.
