Overall great. The staff and other guests were friendly and helpful. The place is mostly neat, quiet, and is in a great location (only a ten minute walk to the tube). My only two issues are that there were mice and the room we stayed in was extremely hot, day or night. Not even a fan was in use and windows couldn't be opened. Staff were aware but offered no solutions.

Good value for money

Good hostel in Kilburn. We stayed 4 nights and we got a nice private room: decent size, well cleaned. We had to share a bathroom and the kitchen but It's normal in a hostel. The total price was reasonable: comparing to the prices in London, we got such a good place to stay. 

The girl who did the check in was really nice and friendly: she showed us all the place (lounge, kitchen, bathroom and the garden). 

The kitchen is big, okay cleaning of it but we haven't use it that much as we were most of the time eating out. The lounge was super cosy, we chilled on the sofa every night before going to bed, also because the wifi worked better there than in the room. 

The garden was superb. Big space outside, the weather was perfect, sunny and hot, and we enjoyed our breakfast every single morning .

Best value for money so far in London, short walk to the train station (Willesden Green) plus all the 24h buses next to the building. 

We met few nice people we are still in touch with. For sure next time we will be back in London we are coming back. 100%!!!

Great hostel to stay!!

I stayed in a private room in this hostel @ 30 Chatsworth road Kilburn it was clean with some interesting people for all over the world staying there also to trade funny story’s with of a night.

this place has a very cool atmosphere and the staff are super nice also 

hostel needs my plates and better coffee  but it is a hostel but it is really good lave for money

Great cheap hostel in Kilburn, I used the kitchens to cook my dinner and make meals. Free wifi and really nice people staying in the hostel! It is close to Central London, 15 minutes to Oxford Circus!

Fabulous budget hostel in Kilburn!

I've tried several hostels in London...this is the best one. In this price category you won't find anything better than this. The hostel is fully equipped with a proper kitchen, big lounge and a great garden. The staff is really nice and actually ask you if there is anything that you like them to improve...The room are spacious and comfortable. And what I like a lot...it's clean. Whenever something doesn't work you tell the staff and next thing...it's replaced. I stayed with the same company  a couple of years ago and I can definitely say that the quality of service has improved and is on a really good level right now. Keep up the good work! All in all, whenever I have to visit London in the future this is the place I'll stay.

Best value for money

Do not recommend 0/10. Not exaggerating. The WORST hostel I've ever been to (I've stayed in over 12 different ones in London). Grab some wine and have a [long] read. 

Smelly rooms. Some of the doors to the rooms don't lock. Some toilets/showers don't function (this was made aware to me by other occupants who said the problem has been there for weeks)

There is no reception area - which I find odd cause... its's a business... also they advertise 24/hr "reception". 
I've also noticed on other reviews how disorganised the check in process was at times, especially for confirmed late arrivals. 

Here's my experience to top it off:

I phoned the venue at 13:33 on 7th June to inform them that I'd be a late arrival (around midnight) due to work. They informed me that this was fine and to just phone the caretaker upon my arrival so they could check me in. They gave me the caretaker's number. I was booked for 2 nights. 

I arrived at 23:52 however the number for the caretaker, Addo (or however it's the name is spelled) went straight to voicemail. I stood outside the hostel and kept knocking the door for around 15mins before another occupant came and entered the hostel. I explained that I was looking for the caretaker and I showed them my booking details and they told me to come in and wait in the common room so that I could arrange with the caretaker as this particular hostel does not have a reception/check-in area. There were a few other guests in the common room who informed me that the caretaker had left about 20mins before my arrival. They said they weren't sure how long he would be gone for. I kept calling, another occupant tried calling but it all went to voicemail.

I kept doing this until 1:02am. As there was nowhere for me to go, another occupant offered me to rest on an empty bed in their shared dorm (the bed belonged to a person whom had checked-out that day) until the morning when the main "office" would be open and I could sort my situation. As I was exhausted from work and having work again the next day, I accepted. Even though the previous occupant of the bed had left that day, the sheets had not been changed. I still chose to sleep on it for the sake of some rest.

At around 2:30am the caretaker barged into the room asking why I was in that room and that I was in the wrong room. I explained that there was no one to check me in or assign my room and I was offered the bed as a gesture. He went on to add that I could not sleep on any bed because I had not paid my balance of £30.60. I reiterated that if he was there when I came I would have paid but I can't be expected to pay the full balance when he was not there to check me in nor was there any communication regarding the delay.

He then got very hostile and said that he has a million things to do and does not have time to wait around. He said he had people waiting many times before and never had any problem. I explained that if he was busy he could have still said something knowing that I was expected to arrive. He could have sent a message before his phone died to update me on his delay. I told him that just because he's had people waiting in the past and they were okay with it, does not mean I should accept it for myself.

He kept saying that he's here now and I should pay the full balance. I explained that I cannot be expected to pay for price after waiting almost 3hrs for him to arrive. I offered be pay have of my balance for the other night and we could move on from there but he insisted because I was 'inside the hostel' I had claimed my first night.

He then went on to add that I never made attempts to call him. He said that he was in the hostel all the time and that I'm lying about the time I arrived. He then threatened put me out physically and if I didn't leave he would call the police. I offered my phone for him to call the police because his battery was dead but he walked off. 

He subsequently left the venue but I stayed in common area till 5am (with the other guests who were kind to support me) then I got a train back to Kent. 

Please stay anywhere else but here. Pictures aren't what they seem on the site.
