I am sorry to write this review, but if I am paying for a room, I do expect to be able to shower . The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. But very little water pressure in the shower so couldn't take a shower. We were told it was going to be sorted this week but that's no good to us. We were told maybe have a shower when everyone else wasn't.  We came back to the room at around 3.50 to try again but there was no hot water.  So a very disappointing weekend for us both. Thanks very much for our lovely stay of 4 nights. Dave and  Ali  made us very welcome and also served up an excellent breakfast!. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back again sometime. Brian and lyn. 

Great stay

This was our fifth stay at this lovely B&B, the second since Dave and Ali took over. They have kept up the very high standard with excellent breakfasts and rooms that have all you need for a comfortable stay. The house is ideally situated for the theatre and lovely walk down the long promanade which leads down to the town centre. There is a bus stop right opposite and a well stocked convenience store just up the road. Very happy to recommend.

Very comfortable and friendly.

Fantastic guest house, made welcome on arrival. We had 2 rooms, both immaculate and comfortable, water in room, milk in fridge. Good choices for breakfast and really tasty. Son's dietary needs no problem.

Great weekend 

The house lovely beautiful clean room excellent so nice  lovely bedding and curtains bath room excellent  plenty of tea  and biscuits  and water also  television in room  plenty of space to hang clothes  was so nice stayed 3 nights a joy it was  up a side road but near to walk to the front but was quiet so had a very good sleep beds lovely    Excellent thank you

A break away 3 days 

Three of us visited for two nights on the 7th & 8th August. we had two rooms, the single room and the king size room.
Dave and Ali made us incredibly welcome, even providing us with drinks on our arrival after a long journey.
The rooms were great and the beds clean and comfortable.
The cooked breakfast was first class, and there was a good choice of juices and cereals.
The cost was incredibly competitive considering that it was school holiday period, and the property provided a good base for us to explore the area.
Parking was readily available and free, on the road outside or one of the many side streets nearby.
Would definitely stay here agian next time I vist the area

Excellent base for exploring the Llandudno area

When we tried to book for last weekend we stupidly didn’t realise is was bank holiday and were lucky to find the Carmen still had one room available. What a bonus that turned out to be. The Carmen is just off the sea front at the quiet end of Llandudno, with ample off street free parking. We were met by Dave and when we said we would go up to the room for a cup of tea after a long drive, he said to go and sit in the garden and he would come out to register us in and bring a cup of tea. As well as the tea he brought some cakes and a lovely surprise for me. The decor and cleanliness get 10 out of 10 - as does the comfy be d and decent size room. Extra little touches in the room like fresh milk and biscuits. We were given an information sheet with useful local information, including restaurant recommendations that were close by. As other reviews mention, the breakfast selection was superb - cereals, juices, yoghurts, pain au chocolate, toast and enormous full English that would more than set you up for the day. If you don’t feel like a gentle stroll into the town and pier there is a bus stop right outside.
Ali and Dave were excellent hosts. We have no problems recommending this place and will certainly use it again ourselves if up that way.
