We stayed here on Saturday night after attending a wedding locally. I really didn’t think we’d get much sleep having read that it can be very noisy there. I can honestly say we had no noise whatsoever, we were in room 10 on the ground floor.
The room was immaculately clean, the bed was comfortable and the white towels were really large.
The staff were helpful, a special thank you to Kacie on reception. 
We found it to be great value for money.

Exceeded our expectations.

I have stayed at this Travelodge to visit family on several occasions before and always found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms, whilst basic, are clean and the beds comfortable. However, on this occasion, I was given Room 17. It was a hot night and it was a must that the windows were open. I have never had such a bad night’s sleep in a hotel room EVER. The room backs immediately onto a service road.  The road noise from the main road and roundabout was relentless with cars and motorbikes racing away from the roundabout like they were on a racetrack. I was still awake at 3.30am and eventually dropped off from sheer exhaustion to be woken up by a very loud noise which sounded like fuel being pumped out of a tanker into the fuel tank at the adjoining petrol station at about 7am. The next vehicle, which was just feet from the window, was a bin lorry. I appreciate that these things have to take place to keep a service station running, but given the proximity of the room to the service road, good luck getting any sleep!  I have stayed in rooms on the ground floor previously, closer to reception, and not experienced a problem, but room 17 is one to be avoided at all cost. It’s the last room at the end of the building. You have been warned!!

Good location within walking distance to The Stonemasons a Marston pub. Also enough onsite for catering and a small coop store at the garage. Hotel has 2 floors but no lift.  We requested a ground floor room which we were granted. The staff here go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. 

Overnight in Ilminster

Lovely welcoming and helpful staff at this Travel Lodge, day and night, and a high standard of cleanliness. Comfy beds, fresh towels, plenty of spare teas, coffees and milks at the front desk to help yourself to or replaced in the morning if you hang the sign for clean towels and refills on your door.  Basic but easy, a great little place to use as a base for exploring the area.
We also didn’t have any problems finding a place to park. Even though it's also a small services, there were spaces free during the night (2nd week in July).

Really nice place to stay

Found peanut chocolates on the floor and was very noisy due to the windows having big gaps. The bed was very comfortable and staff were friendly.

The staff were so attentive and went out of their way to help me and my Autistic Son.
They went above and beyond when he was distressed, finding a solution very quickly and calmly with no bother at all.

My son calmed down very quickly and we were able to continue my day.

Staff at this particular Travelodge were absolutely five star, thank you so very much.

We booked an accessible room 10 weeks before arriving Christmas eve for 3 nights. Upon attiving we were told all accessible rooms were taken as travelodge double books rooms. Totally unacceptable. We booked and paid 10 weeks in advance to ensure we had a wet room. They suggested we try Taunton or Yeovil!! Our family live in the Ilminster area why should we travel further afield when we paid for this room well in advance?

Don't count on your room being available

We use this hotel regularly to visit an elderly relative.  As usual we were made to feel very welcome.  The staff here are excellent.  Nothing is ever too much trouble.  Attentive and courteous. It is in a quiet location but with amenities close by. 

Short break stay

The receptionist was really friendly and made us feel welcomed. The hotel had really comfortable beds I had a great night sleep and it’s really convenient that burger and greggs are right next door   

A great place

Didn’t dare move on the mattress as it creaked so badly. Really uncomfortable, with a hard ridge around it. 
Room was warm and the kettle worked fine. Had enough hot water. Glad it was only 1 nigh though
