My wife and I stopped for lunch on the way to Worcester and we where so glad we did. The menu was varied and very reasonably priced the staff were excellent and could not do enough for us especially Karen. I had the cheese and ham sandwich with homemade onion jam and homemade skin on fried and my wife had the cheese and onion omelette with chips both were excellent. The atmosphere was lovely and as said previously the staff were excellent.

Marvelous lunch in Usk

A great stay overall from start to finish. A warm and friendly welcome, lovely atmosphere throughout my stay. Both evening meal and cooked breakfast were delicious! Staff also went the extra mile - thank you! Would definitely return in the future!

Excellent stay overall - highly recommend!

We celebrated my big birthday with our family here recently , there were 17 of us and the food and service was excellent . We stayed in room 6 and it was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean . Would recommend ! Perfect location for visiting Usk and surrounding areas.

Birthday celebration

Had a family dinner at the Salmon’s this evening.
Delighted with our evening, the welcome and service was excellent.
An excellent meal, good variety, well served. Portion sizes were great and the food was well cooked and presented.
Good value for money. Will definitely be returning especially now I know they are a dog friendly establishment.

Good food, good environment and great value

It's been years since I last stayed here and the old charm is still there. Yes it's dated but that's all part of what makes it what it is.
Staff were cheerful and helpful, always greeting with a smile.
Breakfast was perfect, with hardly any waiting time.
Hopefully won't be as long before we venture along to The Three Salmons again.


Ye Olde Charm.

Great room, great food as always. Friendly, efficient service. Thankyou. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant and a great breakfast. Despite it being the busy festive season we were made to feel like honoured guests as we have been previously . Well done all.

Great stay and food

We booked the downstairs dining room for a Celebration of life party for our father.  There were 18 adults and the room was perfect, with a lovely lit fire and the table beautifully set up.  The hog roast and accompaniments were good and the staff very friendly but polite.  A really nice hotel in a pretty small town. Well don Three Salmons.

Lovely Venue

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. Hotel is in a great location in the middle of Usk and we were able to visit the nearby Black Bear Inn for dinner. Staff helped us to arrange a taxi beforehand which is necessary

Lovely stay

Lovely room, comfy bed, very soft. Evening meals were very nice and just the right size. Staff were very friendly and helpful and unobtrusive, but very efficient. Breakfast was excellent, best sausages and lovely bacon. A very enjoyable stay. Just the ticket for a relaxing and romantic night away

Night without the kids

Wife and I stayed her for one night and we enjoyed the stay.

The room was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, although both my wife and I were not fussed on the pillows as they were too high and firm for both of us, but each person has their own tastes and someone else might love them 

Staff were extremely polite and attentive

Bar and beer garden were very good.

We did not eat our evening meal here so cannot comment on the menu, but breakfast was lovely, especially the sausages.

We would definitely stay here again if ever in the area
