Visited longleat on the friday arrived at this lovely bnb cud not fault it went as a family with 2 children the room was lovely beds very comfy lovely breakfast and the outside area for the kids was brilliant all enclosed so cud relax after a long day knowing the kids cudnt get out, kids loved it slides, old fire engine, trampoline wendy house rabbits, ducks tractors to ride on just brilliant would defo recommend and defo go again if visiting longleat

Had a great stay at this lovely B & B, with a relaxed and charimg atmosphere. Perfect location for attending a wedding at Orchardleigh Hotel.
Very flexible and accomodating owner, and a lovely cooked breakfast.
We would love to stay again !

Brookover Farm is perfect for a peaceful getaway and we were only sorry not to be able to stay longer. We were very well looked after and had everything we needed. We hope to return soon (perhaps we’ll book some horse riding next time 🙂). 

We visited overnight en route back from South Devon. Venue lovely and room so spacious (family room double and bunks). On arrival host was out but message to call her and advised to make our way to the room. Gorgeous and as expected for farm setting. Bathroom clean and lots of tea facilities in room. My husband needed A&E during stay and on a walk around the farm one of the farm hands advised where nearest hospital was. Host Heather also very kind. Good night sleep but early wake up as horses are exercised and some movement outside but it was a lovely morning and my daughters go to play in the amazing playground after a wonderful home cooked full breakfast. 


Just had a lovely couple of days stay at Brookover farm as a base for a visit to Longleat Safari Park and a trip to Bath. This is a working equestrian farm run and owned by a lovely lady called Heather, our room was cosy and clean, perfect for our stay. The breakfast was very good and plentiful,good choice with lots of coffee and tea. Beautiful surroundings with lots of lovely walks, Heather was quite happy for us to explore and say hello to all her horses, what a lovely stay we would definitely call again if in this area.

Lovely stay

This was a very disappointing experience. It seemed as though the lady running it had maybe lost interest, and so things weren't up to standard. Half used shampoo bottles in the bathroom, half a roll of toilet paper obviously used by previous people.  No milk or biscuits and only one sugar in the coffee and tea tray that was meant to be in the room.  The "double" bed bedroom that we booked was actually two singles pushed together, not very romantic or comfortable.  Also the walls were paper thin and so we could hear everything going on in the family home which our room was right next to.  There seemed to be some issues between the mum and her children and there was quite a bit of swearing and shouting going on on one of the evenings.  Also they own 2 dogs which bark intermittently from about 5am. Although Heather did not make us feel welcome at breakfast, or explain how anything worked the breakfast itself was lovely.  The dining room itself was dirty and a napkin, a spoon and a pot of jam were on the floor the first day and still there the following day.  Spoons were left off the tables, the pepper pot had no base so was moved to another table instead of being replaced and then that table happened to be where we were seated the following morning!!!
There just seemed to be a lack of care. I deffinately would not recommend this as a quiet getaway. 

Holiday stay

We were put in what seemed like a barn conversion that was equipped more for residential/ school trips- communal area with a pool table and several rooms off it. 

The room was awful-2 old pine beds when we booked a double, Damp, dirty and mismatched old furniture. No glasses and the kettle was mouldy.

Seemed like the B & B is secondary to the farm when it should be a priority with paying guests. 

Left before breakfast as couldn’t stand the smell of the room.

Avoid!

A very disappointing stay, worst yet and comparable to a back packer stay in Turkey for 100 times the cost. The host was rude and unhelpful, it was like we had put her out. The room was cheap and nasty, the mattress was so springy I had to sleep on a quilt, the toilet seat wasn’t screwed on, cobwebs hung from the lights and ceiling, the TV was like an iPad shoved in a corner, the shower was like washing in a tomb, no toilet roll holder and a dodgy bathroom cabinet was poorly fitted to give the whole place a “don’t stay here score”, stay in Frome. What topped it off was our B&B was just a B. Breakfast was extra despite our booking, so not bed and breakfast just a dodgy bed. 
Poor form, couldn’t justify giving her anymore of my hard earned poor exchange rate dollars so we left in disgust and ate in Bath. 
We feel ripped off and disillusioned with some Poms, this place is on top of my list.

Bed and well bed of sorts

We stayed here overnight as a stopover to go to Cornwall family of four children is bunkbeds were very loose with the protective railings the double bed was two singles put together but she could feel the springs through and everything Chris either dated all broken and close to just a few pictures of showing absolute filth and tissues with mould on it been there forever the towels or something you use in a hairdressers  when you have your hair died and smell of stale dog and the whole room smell of damp
The soap dispenser in the toilet was empty plenty of complimentary tea and coffee and a pack of biscuits however there was no glasses at all so if we wanted a drink in the evening or to brush your teeth this
Had velux windows in our room of which the blinds did not fit and will not black and out with multiple stains and cobwebs
Display certainly need some TLC as even the light had a lightbulb with no lampshade no real personal touches the decor is very dated with pine furniture that does not even fit and paint all over the tops of many of the surfaces 
We would have had breakfast there but due to the absolute filth and dirt of the whole place we decided to go elsewhere and leave early
