The duvet was heavy and so warm, the room with its four poster bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee makings in the room as well as instant an espresso was on the side. We had our evening meal in the restaurant was wonderful, the al a cart menu was fabulous.

A wonderful place to stay, and eat.

Our third stay at the lovely Auberge , lovely comfy rooms with gorgeous view of gardens. Our meal was lovely with the most attentive staff breakfast was equally as good , again served by Jake who is so attentive and friendly. We look forward to coming back again soon

Lovely stay

We had 3 rooms and all of them were very comfortable and cosy. The owners are really passionate about the place having recently taken over. The food was really 2 rosette standard ... so very good,  but what really sets this place apart is how the owners put so much into making sure your stay is perfect. They looked after our norfolk terrier for an afternoon, and every meal including breakfast was top notch.  Jake, the owner, really knows his wine too... so this was a great opportunity to talk wine and try some new stunning wines.  We'll definitely be back.

Fantastic 60th birthday treat

Fabulous hotel. The food, accomodation and service were outstanding. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The bedroom was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable.  Family run hotel. First time here and will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Fabulous Hotel

A perfect birthday treat! 
Can't fault this wonderful hotel...my Fiancé and I had an amazing overnight stay here. The bedroom was immaculate and luxurious, breakfast was delicious and our evening meal (on my birthday) was out of this World! The proprietor is very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended. 

Wonderful Hotel!

What a lovely stay we had celebrating our anniversary. From the initial warm welcome to our departure the following morning nothing was too much trouble. We felt very relaxed & enjoyed dinner & breakfast in the restaurant. The food was cooked perfectly, presented attractively & served professionally. We especially liked the use of local produce & the support of local suppliers for wines & beers. 
We had a four poster bed & a large walk in shower. Despite being next to the road we were not disturbed by it, only by other guests  leaving the restaurant & returning to their rooms! Once at around midnight & again at around 3am. Possibly some softer door closures are needed. Also a sign politely asking guests to respect other people being asleep so to be quiet when returning to their rooms. 🙂

Anniversary stay

lovely rooms great staff had the bbq but had stomaach cramps the day after  more care need i think restaurant food was nice but no where near fine dinning lots of ediable flowers on the food even the desserts not needed just keep away from the bbq

A friendly welcome by all the staff and a very comfortable room. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Worthy of a  5 star review just for the food alone. The proprietors deserve all the praise and every sucess. We will not hesitate to use it again.

My family spent the week at this lovely hotel to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. To say they went above and beyond to make us welcome and make it special for my mother is an understatement. The hotel rooms are gorgeous with huge comfortable beds and are spotless. The breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. On the Saturday night we had the most amazing meal. All 13 of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. So much of what we ate had been grow in their garden. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely return.

Fabulous hotel and restaurant, run by wonderful people.

Just excellent. Despite being at the side of an A road, once you're in the complex you'd never know. The service level and attention to detail is class. Quality elements throughout, from the bed and towels to the soap and in room refreshments. Seasonal veg and herbs grown at the hotel for the kitchen. Which brings me on to the best part...the food and drink. Superb quality, local beers and coffee, fantastic fillet steak dinner and salmon/scrambled egg breakfast smoked on site. Only grumble for me would be the room decor felt slightly dated, mainly due to the curtains and fabric choice but that's just personal. Great place to stay, we'll be back!
