We have visited the cafe at The Cleve many times and this weekend we chose to go to The Cleve for food and drinks after our son's Christening with family and friends. The cafe has a perfect lunch menu, a variety of drinks on offer and is in a lovely setting. The staff were friendly and organised whilst we planned the event - we had pre-orded our food and requested prosecco on our arrival. Communication was great, everything was set up perfectly. Staff were attentive and food all came out at the same time, presented very nicely. We were very pleased that we chose the cafe at The Cleve for his special event.

Lovely Christening Reception

The afternoon tea was the best we had ever had and a lot of it!  The quality of the food was amazing.  Shapna was attentive to our requirements and kept topping up the tea and coffee.  It was relaxing sitting on the terrace and looking out over the countryside with no one rushing us to leave.  Over 2hours well spent and worth the money.

Superb coffee . Friendly staff. Dog friendly . Beautiful setting . We were made very very welcome and I can’t wait to revisit .  All staff were smiling and the ambiance was lovely .  Well done all of you . This will be one of my new favourite places to visit

Perfect

My husband and I often come here for breakfast.    We love the calm, quiet atmosphere and Shapna is always very helpful and polite.  Although we were sad to hear Sue is leaving.  My husband had the full English and I had poached eggs on toast both were delicious.  A great place to meet up with friends for coffee.  Would highly recommend. 

Excellent

Fabulous lunch with family. Excellent service from Shapna and Evie. Wide choice of food including veggie and vegan options and extensive drinks menu. Dog friendly.  Highly recommended and we will definitely return soon.

Delicious lunch

I took a very special friend who has never been here before or even had  an afternoon tea as a treat for her birthday.  .  It was lovely and relaxing with no loud music playing in the background.   The whole experience was just perfect and Shapna looked after us and made us feel special.  My friend thought it was a lovely place to meet friends and will definitely be going back.

Lovely Afternoon Tea

I regularly combine a trip to the gym with either a morning or afternoon sitting in the coffee house during my working day. The venue is perfect as they have internet I can use and it is a serene environment to work in. I have got to know the staff well, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The gym could do with some work but it perfect for my needs, and during the summer months the outdoor hot-tub is amazing to use and nearly always free. Jo-Beth and Shapna are always looking out to say hi and know my order, where I sit and enjoy a good chat! The food is simple but great in the cafe and I could not recommend more. Great location, and lovely staff. It still feels quite private and undiscovered and I quite like the exclusivity of the venue although more people need to find this place!

A regular coffee-house and gym go-er

Lovley atmosphere, delicious cakes and incredible service. There's a beautiful view outside the window of the cafe with comfortable seating. 

Shapna the waitress was very friendly, efficient & polite. Would recommend this coffee house.

Had a delicious Foxy afternoon tea accompanied with a generous quantity of tasty Prosecco.
A treat for 3 generations. Catered for all our dietary requirements, 3 vegetarians and onion and garlic intolerance. Will definitely go again. Had a tour of the spa too and the plans for this sound great.

the cafe is well situated with great views from both the dining room and the outside terrace. parking is easy and a flat walk away from the cafe.  Shorna runs the cafe efficiently and it is bright and clean and not as dated as the spa.  the food I've eaten has been good quality and nicely served.   the warm cheese scones ( with or without cream cheese and pickle)  are delicious.  the hot chocolate even stripped of marshmallows and whipped cream is also delicious. coffee drinking friends are happy with the Braziers roast coffee. 
a lovely place to sit over lunch especially when warm enough to be outside.
