Planned a short road trip without my partner to meet up with Friends so I booked a single room. Dismay upon arrival, after being given the key and instructed to find my own way to the room. I was astonished at the size. The door wouldn’t open fully because the bed was in the way, It was smaller than my daughters Uni room!  There were tired fittings and a weird hanging arrangement for clothes which unfortunately had a small mini fridge containing one small jug of milk directly underneath. The single bed was very ‘bouncy’ and needed replacing. Pillows were old. There was a stale smell and the windows are sealed shut. I had to turn off the fridge because it buzzed and was also heating up the room. Strangely the en-suite was modern and new but was separated by a fabric concertina partition in a vomit orange colour. I wondered why they bothered adding it and not renovated the sleeping area?  Breakfast was fine but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Pictures don’t reflect the reality and I should’ve checked the reviews more closely. A travelodge would be much better and only £12-15 more . If this is the standard that single people are given then I despair of the hospitality business. Single people out number couples now and don’t expect a stable.

This was a last minute booking for us and we were not disappointed.  Very comfortable room and lovely breakfast. Easy walk into Dartmouth where there are many places to eat in the evening. Plenty of parking and a friendly welcome on arrival,

Townstall Farmhouse is a lovely accommodation run by lovely people. Immaculately clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds and delicious breakfasts. Can’t rate this highly enough!

Perfect base for Dartmouth 

Great B&B! We stayed here 11 years ago. The owners were very nice. Have us change for the lauder-mat when no one else in town would. Breakfast was nice. Big room. Bed was comfortable and shower was nice. The only drawback is it is a long walk into town (downhill) and back (uphill - steep).

A lovely traditional farmhouse with excellent showers and comfortable beds.  But the best thing are the owners who are friendly and obliging.  Nothing is to much trouble.  The location is good, its a 20 minute walk into Dartmouth, uphill on the way back!  Plenty of parking.  I've not had the breakfast so can't comment.  I stay here regularly and it's my go to place.

Beautiful rooms with everything you need and great cooked breakfast-you want for nothing it's the perfect place to stay in Dartmouth.

The stay was lovely, greated by Nigel who made us welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience , great breakfast and people, rooms spacious and some lovely features for an old farm house.Loads to do locally ie beeches boat trips restaurant s , will definitely be back.

Stayed here in August 2022 wonderful owners who went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable, location nice and quiet. Breakfast amazing , with choice of home made jams and marmalade.

Fantastic Hosts

Easy to find.  Old farmhouse with lots of character and charm.  Many rooms and can stay one night.  Quiet at night. Gardens on grounds are well done.  The main lobby and sitting rooms are filled with history and old charm.  Enjoyed the English feel along the coast of Dartmouth. Breakfast was excellent with oodles of hot choice to order.

Quaint Farmhouse with lots of rooms

A lovely stay in this lovely B&B, well arrived very early about 10am and thought I would pop in to ask if we could park to be told our room was eady which was a massive help due to my wife's disability. The room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great and they just wanted to put mire food our way which is so rare. They couldn't of been mire helpful.
