this hotel cncelled my booking,they still hav emy money and won't answer messages . I am now having to go throughmy bank who will then chase them costing me time an dthem more money probably  . This is a terrible company to deal with ,they just don't respond

Avoid this hotel at all costs, rang this company up today to discuss my booking for the 24/09, turns out they cancelled it with no confirmation. Now not answering for me to demand my refund! Disgusting!

Our family booked this hotel almost two months before arrival and later found that there is no reception at the hotel and in spite of repeated attempts we were not able to contact the property on phone . However they replied to one of our mails and informed us that two days before travel they will give instructions on check in etc and to our great disappointment we got a mail just before two days of arrival that they cannot accommodate us and hence cancelling our booking and no reason good given for this and even told us that the matter was referred to Expedia when we in fact booked through hotels.com. This is a con enterprise going on and visitors should AVOID this hotel at any cost unless you like to get a nasty and costly surprise .

Most disappointed hotel booking in 30 years 

We are very disappointed with this hotel. We have booked a room here about 2 months back. A day before our travel they cancelled our room. Highly unprofessional, no one should go through last minute hassle of more expensive hotel booking. 

So disappointed with the management of this hotel. If they can’t run a hotel, they should not fool others. 

Do not book here. 

So my partner and I arrived at the hotel that looks nothing like the pics .. there was no staff  at the hotel and when you ring the number it says , calls to this number at not possible from this area ?? .. then one of the guests informed us we need to go to a hotel down the road for our keys and check in .. at the next hotel we was sent to another hotel , so now at hotel no 3 on arrival we was informed by a poor speaking foreign lady our rooms was over booked by hotels.com ... ( not the case it was the hotel ) after 2 hours of trying to book in and witness many other guests arrive and also been overbooked , we called hotels. Com who felt with this in 10 min and had us booked in to a much better hotel . ... 

Power from the hotel and poor attitude-from the staff ... 1 star ⭐️ is to much 

Total shambles 

We booked almost a year in advance as conference season is so expensive.  They cancelled on us with no warning. It seems from the reviews that this is something they do quite frequently, so if you want to be sure you have somewhere to stay I would book elsewhere. I don't know re its cleanliness as we didn't get to stay, but I've rated it low as I think cancelling without warning is one of the most annoying things a hotel can do, so they deserve an overall low rating.

THIS HOTEL RUINED OUR TRIP TO BRIGHTON.

After arriving to Brighton I decided to call up the hotel to find out if any parking was nearby, the female who answered the phone said park on the road outside and put down the phone which wasn’t a great start, we decided to park outside after finally finding a space to see the maximum amount of time was only 2 hours... we paid for a ticket and headed towards the hotel. Half way up the road a ticket man came chasing after us explaining only certain areas of that road you could pay and park as they were dedicated to permit holders, this wasn’t explained on the phone from the hotel and the ticket man explained we were lucky we didn’t get a ticket. He did follow on to explain it wasn’t marked out clearly by the council at all but the hotel should know this information? 

After driving around a bit more we found a spot and headed back to finally relax at the room for an hour and then head out to explore and enjoy Brighton. We were welcomed by the “rude” female who put down the phone on me previously, her friend was sat on the floor next to her and they seemed more interested in their conversation instead of giving us all the relivent information. 

We headed up to our hotel excited to finally rest. We entered a dark, dingy hallway which stunk of smoke... after arriving to our room we felt disgusted, not only a massive hole in the corner of the ceiling as well as a previous hole botch jobed but leak marks throughout the roof, carpet was filthy, room was dark and dingy and stunk of smoke. It was not the warm welcoming rooms this company had promoted and most definitely not the £100 room we had hoped to spend our weekend away in. 

After much discussion (we don’t like to moan) I found I was close to tears sitting inside this room. I headed down towards the reception to be greeted this time by a young male, I explained we had paid a lot of money for a light, beautiful room but we had found this was not the case. His attitude was terrible explaining the matenance man was supposed to fix that but obviously hadn’t, then followed on to explain he would pay £100 for a room with a hole in the roof as apparently that’s the prices in Brighton, I explained I had already looked up hotels in the area before heading down to talk to him in which I found a room that evening for £58 which looked to a much higher standard than the one we were currently in... I explained I wouldn’t be staying in that room so he either needed to refund us so we could stay else where or give us a different room, he went on to explain he would only refund us 30% so we couldn’t stay else where and could maybe move us regarding whether his manager would pick up the phone. So after waiting 15 minutes the male continuous to call his manager whilst explaining to me there’s no point moving rooms as it’s no better and it’s more expensive to park.. but still refused to refund us our full money. 

Finally we came back with a verdict, he would give us a new room in which we had to travel across town to one of the other hotels which is owned by this company, so not only did he have to collect our stuff we then had to waste more money travelling across town, buying a new parking ticket in a new location. I arrived at this new location to be greeted by the same girl that had put down the phone on me, hanging out of her flat (which smelt like drugs) with a key in her hand. Again another warm welcome from the staff! The room was slightly better. probably because it didn’t have a hole in the ceiling but still not worth the £100 paid but we were just relived to be finally in somewhere to rest after all of this stress. 

The room still included the famous leak stains which were in the previous room all across the ceiling, window didn’t shut in the bathroom so the room was freezing and the carpet again was covered in stains... We decided we had no other choice but to stay in it as there was no other rooms and we couldn’t afford to just take a 30% discount. It had to be the worst nights sleep I’ve ever encountered, not only could we hear all of the noise from the street as the window wouldn’t close, but from 12-2am there was constant banging on the main door downstairs, scared to go outside I just had to put up with the noise. At 2am a male employee which came out of the females flat headed downstairs shouting at a costumer asking why he was banging the door, the man obviously was angry due to being locked out explained he’d been banging for ages as he couldn’t get in with the code (a problenwe had earlier that day) as the lock was slightly broken. The employee continued to shout at the costumer saying he couldn’t hear him so it was his fault and carried on shouting at 2am in the morning. 

After finally falling asleep, I woke up feeling terrible from the little sleep I had. I explained to the employee when checking out that the manager needed to contact me ASAP and left my contact number, the employee explained he would have the manager contact me but I’m still yet to hear anything! 

Don’t waste your time staying at this hotel, I would say pay the extra money and stay else where.. but £100 for one night still wasn’t enough to sort this mess of a hotel out. Ruined our trip to Brighton and a weekend away we had been looking forward to which is such a shame for such a beautiful location!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! RUINED OUR TRIP TO BRIGHTON

Pictures looked light and airy. This guest house was far from it! We paid for a premium double room and it was cramped, dark and dated. The curtains were falling off the rails, the windows never looked to be cleaned and the carpet was stained. 
There was thick dust on the skirting boards and in the corners of the room and cobwebs.
Such a disappointment. 
If you can pay a little extra and stay somewhere else. 

Smelly, dated and dirty

Just returned after booking a 2 night stay starting on Friday 24 May 2019. Booked in over the road at the sister hotel - which was expected, and the first thing to 'hit you' is the smell of cat urine in the main lobby and throughout the building.  We were in room 2 which was disappointing to say the least.  The handle on the window was broken, the skirting boards hadn't seen a duster in years, the wallpaper was peeling from the wall due to damp and the ceiling had damp patches.  The bathroom was not too bad, although there was barely 18" between the wall and the shower screen - no good if you're big built.  Bed was uncomfortable but at least clean, as was the bathroom grouting.
Saw the room cleaners in the hallway on Saturday, but they never came to our room at all.  By the time we got back to discover this (we were out all day and into the night) the sister hotel was all locked up, so we had no loo roll and no more milk for a cuppa.
The fire alarm sounded at 07.20hrs on 25th (not a drill) but could we raise any staff?? - NO.  We went over the road to the sister hotel to find the door locked, so we called the 'out of hours' number listed on the door - no relpy!.  So we called the number listed on the 'if you discover a fire paperwork' - still no reply!  Meanwhile another guest worked out how to shut the alarm off, leaving only the continual beeping.  After sorting it out amongst ourselves that we weren't all going to die in a fire, the alarm it seems set off due to steam from a shower in one of the rooms!
All this after an extremely bad nights sleep due to the people in the room above having an argument, and the pillocks in the basement thinking it was all in order to be extremely noisy from 00.45 -03.00
If you like the smell of cats, don't like a good nights slepp go ahead and book it, if not look elsewherre!!!

PAY THE EXTRA AND GO ELSEWHERE!

Checked in on Friday in the hotel over the road. nice ad easy. stayed in room G3, very clean, good size, nice shower, I have no complaints. nice and basic for what we needed which was just somewhere to sleep after our nights out. 
Location was ideal, less than 10 minute walk to the heart of Brighton. 
Good price as well, I would recommend booking on the company website.
